Something of interest for stealth game fans: an unofficial patch which upgrades the Dark Engine (used by the Thief games and System Shock 2) has been released, making it capable of running smoothly on modern systems. Among other things, the patch enables widescreen support, 32-bit textures and OpenAL.

Nice to see that they're still getting modder support. I've got Thief 2 on the shelf, so I might check this out if I get the time.

I have no idea where my T2 disc is. I may just skip my afternoon latte and d/l it if GOG has it.

It works on Thief 1 (Gold) as well, in case you want to re-play the entire series.
