Hi. I installed BGT 1.15. Then run the game BG1 (btw my saves from bgt 1.13 (or maybe 1.14) worked). It worked good, except it had some weird figures in place of polish letters. Then I uninstalled BGT, used kpzbg1.exe on BG1 and installed BGT again. Polish letters were in place in journal. But every time I right-click on item with polish letters in its name (like fire wand - różdżka ognia), game exits to windows with message: "An Assertion has failed in InfScreenInventory.cpp at line number 9909". Btw. items without polish letters in name work perfectly.

Are you using widescreen mod, or high resolutions for the game? Try putting resolution back to window, or 800x600, or playing with other graphics settings.

Thanks, the problem was resolution - i used 1280x960. After I changed to 1024x768 game works perfectly. I think I can do with that resolution ;) Thanks very much :)

Actually this is well known bug within the unsupported resolutions in the old game... the Widescreen mod can solve this problem without causing any problems like crashing to desktop in the set resolution, and yes it allows you to set it to anything you like as long as it's larger than 800x600 resolutions, well this is in BG2(EasyTutu/BGT...).
