in the current version of bgt, is there anyway to change the theme from the bg1 to the bg2 theme? i figure it might be a simple name changing of acm and mus files to trick it into thinking the right theme is playing but then i noticed the bg2 theme has like, 4 files. hmph.

is there a quick and easy solution anyone know of?

Look into your game folder, there's should be a setup-BGTmusic.exe or something to that effect that allows you to install the wanted musics.

hmm i was sure i already replied here when i made that post, i figured it out minutes after posting, i just changed theme name in the songlist 2da back to the bg2 version.

jarno, i don't think you understood my original question, the bgtmusic.exe has nothing to do with it, but it doesn't matter now.

Hello!

I know this is a super old thread, but I was wondering how to do this as well?  I'm not sure which songlist.2da I am supposed to edit after installing the latest BGT.  I've tried to edit the BGT songlist.2da files before my Big World Setup modifies the game, but that didn't seem to work.

Well, like you know, this been old thread, the solution is a little newer than that, and it's to use the newest BWP fix for the BGT-music's .tp2 fix by Lollorian in the install, that the newest weidu.exe "requires".

The BWP game uses the songlist.2da that it has biffed at the Generalized Biffing's install, it can only be modified by copying the backup from the Generalized Biffing -folder to the override, or with extracting it with Near Infinity... but there's a little more than that, so using the newest BWP Fixpack is really the best option in any case.

OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Hmm ok.  (Sorry for bugging you :P )  How would I go about doing that if I use the Big World Setup to install all of my mods?

First, stop saying sorry...

Next, just start the BiG World Setup.vbs ... and let it take over, follow the instructions of remaking an install and you should be on your way... that is if you already have an install that was made before the Lollorian's fix was patched to the fixes... when that was, no idea. :ermm:

Ha ok I'll stop :)

I just checked that my most recent install is with the latest BWP Fixpack 14.0.1 (released on the 26th).  Is there anything extra that I am supposed to do to make sure the music fix is initialized?  In Big World Setup, there is only one option available for the Fixpack.

Yup BWPFixpack v14.0.1 has this patch

Also, could you please check whether you're getting tavern music in the Gnoll Stronghold area? Do a CLUAConsole:MoveToArea('AR4100') with any character and wait for the music to start :P

Hi Lollorian!

I followed your instructions and installed the patch before reinstalling the mods through BG Setup.  The menu music for BG1 and BG2 are still playing the BG1 Theme :(.

But I did test the Gnoll Stronghold area and it is not playing the Tavern Music, so at least that is working :D! (It was working for me before the patch as well).

Ok you used the BWS so it probably uses the -noautoupdate option that doesn't allow WeiDU to update

No matter, things are working so everything's good :)

As for how to get back BG2 music in the menu screen - I'll have a look at the files tonight and provide instructions if no one does before me

Hi Lollorian,

I'm having a small problem with the music in my game after installing the patch (TBH, I don't even know if it is even related to BGT-Music, but I thought I'd pop a quick question to see if you've experienced this)

After playing for a while (currently in BG1 portion of BGT), the music will just completely stop and not pick up again, even the main menu music has stopped playing.  Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way to reproduce the problem and I haven't found a way to kick the music back on without quitting and starting up the game again.

Just throwing this out there in the hopes that maybe you would have some suggestions in dealing with this :P

Thanks.

Edit#1:  I timed a couple of play-throughs and the music seems to stop after about 1hour and 30 mins.
