Great news! We're waiting for the new BWS for the french translation. :)

Except the .pdf, it's the only BWP package that needs a french translation yet (Installpack, Fixpack and Trimpack are done).

Sounds nice.

I hope you started with the gamma, since some (more) strings got moved or edited or added.
Or you need someone that knows how to work with diff/winmerge or something similar.

Added:
  • Enabled renaming of setups when managing mods. Run tests before renaming or overwriting mods/setups. [_Admin_ModSave]
  • Additional messages if debug-file can't be read (reported on Windows 8 ). [_Install_TestInstalled]
  • Test if patching works before starting install (reported on Windows 7/8 ). [_Install_PatchTest]
  • Added mods Dace, Isra, PaintBG, SarevokFriendship, Tobaurora, Valerie and Psionics Unleashed for testing.
Fixed:
  • Fixed endless looping when searching non-existent tokens in management screens. [_Select_Search]
  • Extract UpdateIni if download of update-package proceeded before but ini did not get extracted. [_Net_Update_Link]
  • Don't ask about BG1NPC if you resume a German install.
Edit:
I think I've found another possible reason for the crash when gathering updates.
Should occur only once and when doing a restart, it should be ok. Will test it tomorrow.

@Arkangel

This error refers to these two lines:

IF ~Class(PLAYER1,CLERIC_ALL)~ THEN REPLY @40 @40 + 18

IF ~Class(PLAYER1,DRUID_ALL)~ THEN REPLY @46 @46 + 18

The male/female replies. Which you may also find as per original untraified mod

Personally I didn't try installing it via english textpack but using my "own" version (from which Leonardo produced the patches), and it installed like a charm.

Wrote you a PM with a possible fix.

However quick fix is to remove the double @40 and @46.

Added:
  • Hint if you missed generalized_biffing and have too many files in your override-folder. [Au3Install]
Fixed:
  • Recognize extacted BG1-fixes when listing faulted extractions. [_Extract_ListMissing]
Updated:
  • BG1NPCSoA settings (new component-numbers).
  • BWP preselections.

THINK! - It's not illegal.

I skipped the mods that failed to install, since they didn't seem too essential. The game continued to install, with several mods being skipped.

After continuing, I got this error:

If I can fix any of this (the parts that need to be fixed anyway) on my own, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, it's actually the spell identifier that is missing so it cannot be scripted to work correctly... did you choose to install the BP's primary component ? It's required for this... there's also the possibility that it got killed at a point by something, you could change-log the file called "spell.ids" .

Just a quick note:

BPv180 installs fine if you don't use component 0:

~SETUP-BPV180.TP2~ #1 #15 // Ascension für BP : v180 c BWP patch
~SETUP-BPV180.TP2~ #1 #16 // Improved Abazigail: v180 c BWP patch
~SETUP-BPV180.TP2~ #1 #17 // Improved Demogorgon: v180 c BWP patch
~SETUP-BPV180.TP2~ #1 #18 // Improved Gromnir: v180 c BWP patch
~SETUP-BPV180.TP2~ #1 #19 // Improved Illasera: v180 c BWP patch
~SETUP-BPV180.TP2~ #1 #20 // Improved Yaga-Shura: v180 c BWP patch

So it would have to be a mod...

Poison Effect Supplement installs fine if you'd create a folder named poison_effect_supplement (if you want to have that). I'll adjust that the folder be created anyway.

By the way: As far as I did understand the batch, it just compares the reference ids to the current one and adds needed strings.
I expanded that a bit since it would replace files with dupes if there are whitespaces involved. I WeiDU would need those (don't think so, but who knows), I could add those.
THINK! - It's not illegal.

A quick Q:
I have BWS-Selection.ini exported to file from BWS 20130222. Is this selection file compatible with current BWS 20130310 and possible further releases or I have to start selecting over if i want to switch to current release?

I don't plan to change the format if it would not bring some outstanding bonus. So yes, you can use old selections. Be aware that some mods may have changed their order. If they did, you may get something different than expected. (Like BG1NPCSoa) since I only save mods and component numbers,
You should also get a note about new components when you do that.
New mods/components get a [N] appended to their name and you can search new components/mods by entering [new] in the search field.

change-log.txt:

Well, you might have, but you got the old setup-BGT.tp2 problem others have got ... and I have no good reason on why so many have that, as the change-log command line has no relation to the file except that it uses the weidu.exe to give orders to it. We would need Wisp to comment on that. Or someone that actually knows where the problem lies on...

I got the same error, but the quick fix suggested solved it neatly. Can we get this fixed? It's one of the few bugs I've noticed trying to install the BWP "standard" version.

@Anonymous

This one is a fault of mine   I added the wrong dialogue file to the archive I sent to Leonardo and mod author.

I already sent Leonardo a revised ACQ15000.D.patch and advised mod author.

It should make into next Textpack ENGLISH (which will also add Malthis v2 english support).

However, for the moment, this "quick fix" should be done right after Textpack ENGLISH extraction.

Hi!

I've used BWS before, but hadn't had similar problems before. I'm installing standard version, although without Ascalon's Questpack and Portraitis for Ascalon's Questpack (because of the problems stated above).

I'm getting this error:

SKIPPING: [TORTURED SOULS v7.04]
Please install Baldurdash-WeiDU v1.67 before installation of this mod.

C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA>
Please install Baldurdash-WeiDU v1.67 before installation of this mod.
TORTURED SOULS (Tortured Souls) was skipped.

If a component was skipped during the install, this indicates a conflict or dependency that's still missing in the BWS. Either a similar component is already installed and thus this message is harmless, or the component depends on a mod that's missing. If you don't want to continue after your analysis, you can stop the BiG World Setup now and resume from this point later.
Enter [c]ontinue or [e].

I've tried to adding Baldurdash, from the button next to the version-choosing-thing, but I got the same error. Baldurdash in the mod list was anyway v1.68.

Oh, and sorry I don't know how to use that "spoiler" thing in this post that everybody seems to be using.
