Fake Import Mod

This mod simulates importing a character from BG1.
1. Illyich gets the chainmail +3 instead of his regular one.
2. The PC gets the additional XP.
3. The golden pantaloons and the tomes of stat bonuses are behind the portrait.
4. You can choose if you killed Drizzt because there's this one person who didn't and he's very cross right now
Have fun!

Nice! Do you have two Tomes of Wisdom or three(TotSC)?

Added to the modlist.

EDIT: And since you killed Drizzt, do you get his loot somewhere?

Three because I don't think you can get BG1 without TotSC anymore. Besides, if Charname gets his XP raised to 161 he pretty much has to have TotSC.

You don't, because originally while importing, Drizzt's items get taken away from you during the start. You can only regain them from his dead (again) body.

What does "Drizzt killed" means gameplaywise? There's neither variables nor Drizzt loot transferred from BG1 to BG2, unless I'm mistaken.

Well there is

If you have any of Drizzt's loot on your character before it gets taken away, the BG1DrizztItem global variable gets set. And that makes Drizzt kind of angry, but not enough to kill you or whatever. Just some Sonic Sez-style morality talk.

you mutilated him

I didn't either.. but I stole his weapons, so I got the "you killed me" talk in BGII. Which feeled like a bug: The great Drizzt with memory disorder.

Almateria: Maybe you could make the "killed Drizzt" an optional install? Because I wouldn't want that.

Question if you give Imoen the int book in the dungeon will she retain the boost when she rejoins? She's pretty much always in my party and is one of my primary casters, I want to give it to her but if she doesn't retain it when she rejoins I'm not sure I want to lug it all over creation until she rejoins XD

All you need to do for that is check if the rescued .cre for Imoen's ability scores match those from her starting .cre file by peeking at the saved game in an editor at the appropriate times. If the increase disappears in the rescued version, the mod will need to include a patch to the rescued version.

Pre- and post-Spellhold Imoen are two different CREs and the bonus will not transfer over.

Well, unless you play with BGT(and in this case the stats should already be at there at the time party leaves from the BG1 to BG2 via the Belts talks) or with Level 1 NPC, I believe... as especially, since then the same creature is actually used, after all it's actually saved in the games data(savegame) when the character exits the party via talks that transfer them to other areas.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Hello iavasechui,

After a large amount of research I came to the conclusion that the INT bonus will not transfer, unless you play with BGT or Level 1 NPC. I hope this will help

Just stash it somewhere. Anyway, the INT bonus doesn't actually mean a thing, so

Erhm, that depends on what's in the rule set you use(mod installed intmod.2da file)... and if you want to do several (mod) quests that require it in talks etc ... it's like saying you can safely set and leave the dexterity of your main char to 3. Simply not the whole truth.
