It appears this mod is newer than some, I was curious if this mod was compatable with the edwin romance mod, I've become more cautious about simply downloading mods due to horrid glitching caused by some of them but I want to play through both without restarting my game and since I read that faren can be picked up without restarting the game I was wondering if he will glitch or come into conflict with the edwin romance mod?

Thank you ahead of time.

I'm sorry to hear you've had such problems, but usually you can download and install virtually any NPC mod from SHS/PPG/G3 in the middle of the game without horrible glitching: Angelo, Kivan, Xan, Adrian, Kelsey and many others, the list is long.

Edwin Romance is an old mod which used to have some overwriting, but fortunately clever SHS people fixed that(I hope the old version's no longer available), and the new version should guide you right through. You can install even ten NPC mods in a row, if you like, but I would recommend only installing those you're going to use in the current playthrough(because sound files will increase the size of the override folder, which can lead to performance issues, if it's bigger than, say, 500+++ mb).

I wasn't having glitches caused by many different mods, I was using the old edwin romance mod (I got the new one recently so hopefully it'll work better) and it had a pretty bad glitch occur and I've heard of mod incompatability which is why I asked for people that have played both if they had any issues out of being weary, for some reason though I can't install Faren's mod, I can save it into the correct directory but it says which program to use to download it...

Do you have to have winrar to download the faren romance or is there another file to download it? like exe or zip?

Just download it. If your default Windows utilities won't be able to open it, I'll be very surprised.

I managed to get it saved on my computer, but now it won't open when I click on it, I've tried using notebook, Adobe Reader, and wordpad. Is there a specific program that needs to be used cause I was able to open the other mods I've downloaded by using Adobe Reader?

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm not very experienced with mods since I've only had this game for about a week.

I have no idea how Adobe Reader opens .rar files. I guess you learn something new every day.

I use Windows Commander(Total Commander), it has a built-in archive opener. There is also Winrar, and 7zip - I have both of them, because unfortunately some of the translators use 7z, and I can't open their attached files otherwise.

WinRar alone should be more than enough, but you should also make sure that your mod file has been fully downloaded(there's a green light in your browser on "downloads", for example).

Thank you very much for all the help, turns out winzip can also unzip rar files so I am now currently downloading the modXD Thank you for all the patience and help!
