Maybe now that it won't crash every five minutes...Erhm have you learned to how to start games with only one processor active for the program ? A new .txt file with this code edited in and renamed as "run.bat" file in the game directory... and preferably made to a quick icon to the desktop with edited icon etc:
START /AFFINITY 0x1 swkotor.exe
This at least helps with the multiple processor crashing that is cause by the game loading movies and other multimedia files at the same time... or some such.

I'm holding off on the purchase, since I already have KotOR on my Steam list, played through it multiple times. From what I read in reviews (KotOR on the iPad review @ IGN), the controls are rather clunky.
I'd definitely recommend purchasing it through Steam (cheaper than the iOS version if you grab it during a sale). Try taking Jarno's advice, Almateria, and check the support forums for your version (although I didn't have any problems whatsoever with a Core2Duo myself).
