When I ran these mods with Tashia, I got an error every time I started the game and went to the load screen, hence destroying my save games:

Valen
Ascension
Solaufein
As well as some very small, simple mods from Baldurdash Remix and Ease of Use, which shouldn't have effected the save screen. In any case, here is the exact error, if anyone wants to try and interpret it.

Error at InfScreenLoad.cpp at line 1428

You are doing something else - it can't just be those mods and Tashia. Here are the mods I currently have installed simultaneously:

Baldurdash (original, first thing after the Official Patch)
Ease of Use (some - NOT faster dreams and cutscenes)
WeiDU Ascension
Solafein (all except mind flayers)
Tashia
Kelsey (SoA and ToB)
Valen
Ritual beta
Improved Ilyich
Item Upgrade
... and maybe some other mod which I forgot

All of this works perfectly fine, so, most likely, something must have gone wrong during the installation of one of your mods.

WeiDU cannot destroy a saved game - just uninstall everything and it should work just fine. If you uninstall everything WeiDU and reinstall it, chances are it'll work. If it doesn't, try uninstalling all of BG2 and then reinstalling everything from scratch (tedious, but it usually works).

Or, you can wait for somebody who can tell you what that error actually means.

That's just the thing, I uninstalled all the mods I had and I still got the same error. I'm reinstalling BG2 right now.

Didn't have short cutscenes, but I'll try installing Tashia first.

Any particular reason for this? I generally use random order (except that, because the latest version fo Tashia has been out longer, I don't bother to uninstall it while I constantly update the other mods).

Yes, but it won't do something like this - later, when you need to dream about something the dream won't come. It won't break your game outright.

Hi,

I have had a lot of troubble putting Tashia v2.05 into the game ever since i downloaded it, first of all i tried to install it with other mods in but it would not work then i uninstalled the whole thing and downloaded a new Tashia v2.05 and tried it with no other mods in just the game and all the patches but still would not go into the game some error with the dialog.Do you think it would be wise to downloaded it again,or download a previous version then get the patches.

Thanks

Hmm... I use 2.05c so I am not sure what is the problem most people are having. The one thing I can think of is that the WeiDU version Tashia uses is far from recent. Arian, perhaps you should update her to the newest version of WeiDU?

Hmm, what error does it put out?

Might be something else entirely.

If the error is with dialog.tlk, then make sure you don't have ShadowKeeper, Near Infinity, or Infinity Explorer running (or anything else that may touch the dialog.tlk).

You can update the version of WeiDU to install with yourself. Just unzip the package as usual, then download WeiDU from Weimer's site, rename Weidu.exe to setup-tashia.exe, and use that instead of the stock one. That might actually help things during install/uninstall because there are now commands out there that Tashia's version of WeiDU wouldn't support if for some reason her installer needed to strip out and reinstall.

:) HI,

I have finally got Tashia 2.05c working i must have installed a mod before installing Tashia first, but i reinstalled the game and put Tashia in first and it never had a problem.

Thanks

This is true, I install Tashia first before everything else and I have no problems at all.
Ssshh! Quiet! You smell that?

I would, but I can't edit the website. Couldn't for a while now. Why? Because I suspended my DSL service, and now use my cable. If someone wants to host Tashia, I will update.
