Just ran into a really annoying problem that I am blaming on Tashia! (er I think)

She just talked to Jaheira then Valgayr who expressed concern about he magic. Now my main/head character turns around backwards every time the party stops, and even more annoying the party will only move very short distances before they stop! Plus, I cant save and get a message - "no save while in dialog mode"

The last time this happened I had used some cockamaney simultaneous romance mod.

It seems unlikely that this is a Tashia bug -- it sounds more like you have a bad install or corrupt data file. Did you install the latest bioware patch? Did you try removing your temp, tempsave and cache folders and trying again?

Anyway, my final suggestion is that you report this to the Tashia author. I have no idea what is going on with Tashia because I did not write her. Follow the links to her forum.

Tashia DOES have an optional multiromance component. Are you sure you didn't install it?

I've had my game do this on occasion when a dialog is not firing properly. Usually restarting from my last auto-save fixed the problem. The PC is responding to a dialog initiation that never occurs, yes? Well, anyway, that's what my problem was with Sola and Kelsey once or twice, but it always resolved itself.

I just had this same thing happen to me! I was at the docks in Chapter 3 when the two dwarves show up harrassing the girl with the blanket. After that, Tashia talks to Minsc, then Jahiera, then Valygar then it does the thing where they only move short distances. Reloading and trying again didn't help. After the scene with the two dwarves, it was the same thing.

I think there's definitely a dialogue problem there. Maybe with a conversation with Aerie, because that's the only person she didn't talk to, besides the main character. I even used the Ctrl + Y cheat to kill her, which fixed the movement problem, but when I resurrected her it was immediately back. Also, whenever I try to pickup something, it immediately exits out of the mini inventory screen. Same when I try to talk to someone. It's like she's trying to initiate a dialogue but failing or something. Any ideas on how to fix it? I'd hate to have to leave her dead and in my party to progress in the game.

Argh- in order to avoid it I ran into the Planar Sphere- as soon as I exited and the necromancer died, the blankey dwarves showed up and the Harper folks after Jaheira -. the dwarves did there thing, now the Harpers wont speak, i cant save, and the party wont move but an inch or two!

I hope I have my trademeet save so I can brush Tashia off! :ph34r:

Luckily I had a save right before the dwarf encounter, so I kicked her out of the group before it happened and no problem. You could probably kick her out now and it should fix it. When I killed her after it happened it went away. Anyway, I really enjoyed the mod, but I can't wait around for someone to fix it. I needed to make room for Imoen anyway.

I went to my save before exiting the spear, beat Tashia to death, dumped her corpse, and then exited the sphere. Everything seems ok now.

This is most often caused by not having the official patch installed. Infinity is an old engine... bugs like this were happening even with Bioware's npcs. Sometimes this happens when something doesn't sit right upon install / uninstall, or sometimes this is simply the game's bug. /shrug
