Before I start learning, what does the newest version of WEIDU not support?

Does that include walls, doors, height, search, light maps, does it include triggers?

You can read and write arbitary bytes to any file, so in theory, it supports everything you could ever want to do.
In practice, area editing in weidu's weakest point.

Galactygon, the real answer here is that WeiDU is not a major area editing tool -- it's at its best when editing dialogues and scripts or when copying files. You can edit area files
but you'll have to know all of the offsets yourself, so it won't be perfectly convenient. If you want to edit dialogues you can use the special D format, which makes that easier. There's no equivalent "A" format (or whatnot) for ARE files.

Offsets are pretty easy to find with near Infinty most of the time, and I'd list the ability to edit files by offset as a pretty potent ability by itself.
