history
While Veronica?s mother was light with child she was attacked by a cult of vampires set out to increase their numbers. She was bitten and left for dead. She managed it home to her husband, but she could only last a few days.
Veronica?s father did all he could, spent all their money on healers, who, in the end betrayed them to the surrounding village of their misfortune. There was nothing either of them could do, and before she lost control of all her senses and did something she would regret for all eternity, fled into the night. Veronica?s father woke to an empty bed and an empty heart. He as eventually driven out of his home as the village deemed him of having the vile blood in his veins.
He left in search of his wife, but was led down dead ends and empty trails. He decided to find the cult that was the cause of all the misfortune, why he searched for them he could not tell. Revenge? He could never stand to a vampire, let alone a cult. Something else was pulling at him, an urge for something an urge for lust for lust. But the cult was nowhere to be found. He grew desperate for something he could not fathom. He started to search for traces of the vampires that were the cause of their downfall, they had split up he knew, but where!?
He searched for what was months until he finally found something. A group of strange murders in a large town not far from his current location. He set out for this town and for what was to be his doom.
After some tracking he eventually found the source of the strange murders and tracked it down to an old abandoned warehouse. Filled with enthusiasm and gullibility, he stalked in, in the thick of night through the front door and was lost to the world forever.
Veronica?s mother had been living in the sewers under a town, feeding on rats to keep her and her unborn child alive. She knew she had done the right thing by leaving, that she would have destroyed their village and her beloved otherwise, that the sewers were the only place she and the outside world could be safe. For without human contact she was able to fight the blood she had learned to hate. She used her unborn child as a stepping stone, making sure she was above the urges none stop. But sometimes the darkness was too strong, sometimes she felt engulfed by shadow and her blood would boil for the outside, for death. Then she would remember her old life. She would dream of her past, of the future, of the three of them, her, her husband and their unborn sibling. She wondered if it would be a boy or a girl, of what he/she would be when they grew older, picnics among the trees. She dreamt of all of this to keep her afloat in the darkest of times. But one day Veronica?s father returned to her mother, and as a vampire himself, had been completely consumed by his dark urgings. It was everything he had wanted after that night he had woken to an empty bed, apart for one thing, his wife by his side. He convinced her, nay, near forced her to give in to what she had fought for so long. After only a few days though she relented and was consumed with hate and malice.
By the time Veronica was born they had returned to the village in which they had lived so much of their lives and destroyed it out of a fit of revenge and lust. When she was born her parents realised that she wasn?t completely a vampire and, with their followers started a ritual a few days later to complete her. But before the ritual was to commence the newly formed cult was attacked by Druids. They extinguished most of the vile taint of the vampires but a few escaped, including Veronica?s parents. But they had left her, not on purpose but during the attack they were unable to get her to and were forced to flee.
The Druids brought Veronica up and tutored her. They tried to keep the past from her but, but for some unnatural reason she was able to remember that part of her life vividly. Everything from when she was in her mother?s womb till she was rescued by the Druids. When she was older she set off on her own without the wisdom of the Druids in a cause to find her parents and to destroy them.
She eventually finds her way to Athkatala where she will meet you.

Ps: hope this is in the right place
edit: left out a lttle info about how it will interact.
A fiery young woman with a sweet voice but sharp tongue. She doesn?t get along with others but given time you can help her let down her defences and open up to you piece by peace, and vice versa. With all her skills and abilities and strong nature, all she may need is some companionship and a shoulder to lean on.

Wooed women at every base,
But once ladies glanced at
His special enhancement
They vanished with nary a trace."

WOW I have a total sense of de ja vue . Moonfruit wanted to make a NPC Female elf archer named Verona, but it got scraped.
i only chose the name because i had a girlfriend i was very fond of that went by that name, the name is flexible. and as for the rest, its just coincidence
How about *gasp* a non-romanceable NPC for once?
there would be non-romance banter if you chose not to romance her.

Anyone uninterested in a romance doesn't have to have one, or even download it if they want to go to extremes.

It's just that a non-romanceable NPC could be written in half the time it takes to write a romanceable NPC...
the games not going anywhere, and with all the other current work im sure you can find something to do.
i'll try to work as fast as possible with the best quality. and if it really starts to take a while, i can always ask for help from someone

One question though: will the PC miss out on much of her backstory and a vampire quest or two if she's not romanced?
good point. i guess i could somehow involve the backstory with or without the romance but involve it more with the romance such as Viconia, take some thinking though. but i was coming up with a few ideas involving Bhodi so i guess there will be conflict whatever happens.
edit: or i could have differant oportunities for quests and so forth depending on whether you choose to romance her or not. there will most certainly be differant dialogue

... and non-romancable NPCs usually tend to focus on the plot, not the romance, while romance NPC mods focus on the romance, not the plot. Plot seems more fitting for vampires, IMO.It's just that a non-romanceable NPC could be written in half the time it takes to write a romanceable NPC...
But it is your choice, so make the NPC romancable if you wish.

Anyway, if you're going to make a mod, just make it something you want to do, otherwise you won't enjoy making it and then... well, what's the point?

and us british happen to not care about many things, so without a 'don't care' choice it takes all the fun out of things

I am British. The only thing i'd like a 'don't care' option on would be Pop Idol, then when everyone chooses it they'd have to ban the damn thing.
