If either of these interfere with what youve written or would drastically change what you have coded then please ignor, i just wanted to post my opinions.
level-you posted that he would be level 30 from the get go based on what he was in hell-soa, but he did a lot of testing on you to find your potential and thus would have gained much power from your soul which he would now have lost. Also the high lvl would be unbalancing.
kit-necromancer. I know he's a pure-class in game and the spells he uses in battle don't neceserally show this, but he constantly experimented with the way death works in experiments and tried to drain the tree of life, which sounds much closer to the dnd description of necromance then someone who raises skelatons(though i believe the direct edimology has to do with calling dead, necro-romancer, not meant to be taken literally perverts.)

The actual word 'necromancy' means speaking to the dead, not summoning it - it's based on two words meaning 'death divination'. Greek, or hebrew or something. It's in the bible.

I'd consider Jon more of a Transmuter, myself, but that's just me.

Seems more like an Elven High Mage to me.

Well, I agree with Tankred, Jon is more into transmutations and alterations - an 'experimentor' you might say. :D But I will leave him the way he is in the game - I am very wary about changing the character stats, kits etc etc. It is bad enough I alter his story and give him tons of new dialog.

I am aware Jon has little to do with the actual meaning of necromancer, but the dnd definition says necromancy is messing with life energy which sounds just like jon to me, but its your mod so do what you want.
I'm guessing from the no response to the first part your keeping the level.

Yup. The mod comes with xp cap remover that allows you to go up to 40. And in my observation 75% ToB characters are exports anyway. He will have some serious disadvantages based on the plot of the mod.
