Ok these happend last year when i decided i wanted to rather healthy for a week and thought hm, let me embark on making cabbage soup a pleasure rather than a pain
so i got a few fresh cabbages and set to work finely chopping them up(they were reather smalll you see so i needed 2) i had them down to about a 1cm long by .5cm breadth strips very fine so i could extract every last drop of flavour.
I then proceded to bung them in the pan and stir a little and left it to soak in some water.

My next step involved getting some fine grained basmati rice, not a challange singe i always have alot of rice at hand , i messured in just enough to give the meal some thickness and then proceded to add some brown lentils, non of this is so out of the ordinary although perhaps mixing lentils and rice isnt your commen all garden cabbage soup idea but nevermind.
then i got 6 fresh tomatos and began to cut out the centers and then mash them down to a near paste which i again added to my rather large pot, now the stage is almost set 2 last things to do

Most importantly the flavour
i had oregano , basil viniger a nice balsam viniger ,a pinch of herbal salts and some ground vegitbal stock i had prepared a while earlyer
I proced to mix this all down to a paste i knew i would need half a cup full as after all it was a large bowel
so when the levels where coreect and the flavour was exact i added it to the now brimming bowel

The last step was to fill with some purified water and to boil for a couple hours on a low head mixing occasionaly , sometimes with force to blend the flavours
... and so i waited...... till finaly it was ready the softness and armoa had peaked so quickly i removed it from the boil and sat it to cool.
the tension mounts as i knew i would have to wait 10 minutes to see if it had of been a succes.............
suddenly horrer hit me i had forgoten the peper and chili . so i dashed to the bowel added a bit of peper and chili and returned it to the boil for 10 more minuted to mix in the spice........ the wait continues then onto the final wait till taisting time

.... i dipped my spoon inside the pot, it was a large rounded spoon so i could sample all the ingrediants in this broth at once
.. i blew on it twice for luck and finaly tasted it
SUCCCESSSSSS it was delicious and the spices served to give it that subtle tingle ont he tounge yet not enough to burn. the herbs and salt added the savoury and the meal was as i had hoped Brimming with taste and lacking in Calories
