Here´s a little information about this mod.

First of all, this is my first mod. I knew nothing of modding when I began doing this in Spring 2002. Due to that fact the quality varies. For example the first quest I did was a demi-lich in a basement. :P It is still there.
This is not a traditional modding project and everything you see in the mod is just what happened to come into my mind at that time. The main idea I had was to complete something big. I had had some projects before this one but I canceled them. Then I accidentally found the TeamBG tools and thought that this could be it.
I never participated with the communitys other activities and mods as I wanted to focus on getting this done. This resulted as some sort of a lack of information about the current directions of modding and I suddenly noticed that TDD-type mods weren´t enough. People had already moved forward. Anyway, I wanted to get this done so I continued but added a series of special features. I also noticed this year that I´m using "the old" tools. For me IDU, IEEP, CreMaker never caused any problems. I finished the mod with those tools but fixed a lot with DLTCEP later.
So, what comes to the contents of this mod...This was originally meant to be a Drizzt Mod, and that is what it became. The mod adds Drizzt, Wulfgar, Regis, Catti-Brie, Bruenor, Entreri and Jarlaxle into the game as playable NPC´s. The main story was pulled from a hat but the main idea is that you rescue Drizzt´s friends and witness the final confrontation of Drizzt Do´Urden and Artemis Entreri. If you are evil, you can betray Drizzt and help Entreri.
The mod also contains an arena where you can go and fight for rewards. Mages and figthers can participate. There are also over 10 new large quests (total quest amount 30+) and other special features.
If you now sit back and imagine what this mod is going to be like, you are completely wrong, whatever you think. Everything is pulled from a hat so although the story is pretty clear from the start, how everything proceeds is totally crazy. :P

So, that´s all. If you are intrested in sort of a EE - style mod, exept that this is not a partial conversion, combined with TDD - style mod, but combined with more role playing elements combined with my imagination, go ahead and download this when this comes out. But be aware that I take liberties from the original FR - style and there are some influences from Final Fantasy - games. This mod can never compete with any of the TC´s or Imoen Romance, but this could provide an intresting change for some people.

P.S. Due to lack of energy the following parts were never done:
- NPC dialogs (banters and such)
- ToB support

I love this mod! I have been playing it and I wanted to say good job! I just wanted to add that if you wanted to make this mod legendary then how about a Drizzt romance? Sorry, I'm a little lovestruck at the moment...Drizzt....mmmm...

Drizzt Fangirl,

Why don't you write one and maybe someone will program it?

Yeah, unfortunately I have no time or will to add anything to the mod anymore. Anyone is free to make their own additions however. ;)

Thanks for the support!

I would probably be making a mod of my own if I could only learn to mod... <_< I think I will learn to mod and make a mod for my little Drizzty-muffin (with no Catta Brie, OF COURSE!)

Just to make sure I downloaded everything right...

Where, specifically, do you find Drizzt in Irenicus' dungeon? Or did I misread and he's found somewhere else?

Drizzt is found just before the exit. If I remember correctly he´s standing on the bridge which leads you out of the dungeon.

arena question

could you tell me what the specific restrictions are as to determining the current day of the fighter competition? also does it check for a certain amount of experience or a certain character level, and i guess it checks only charname, right?

basically because i may need to stop levelling in bg1 (at 250k right now) or i ll miss out on the first day of the arena or would like to know if i can simply CLUA me back to a previous experience level (if thats what it checks for)

Hi everyone!

Since I don't think they'd be compatible (even if latest Big World Project Guide lists both in its install order),
would you suggest Region of Terror or Drizzt Saga?

Thanks in advance :)

Short answer, you can install both in conjunction with this bundle of joy to not have to choose :D
