LOL, thanks... and so very eloquent

I've never seen the ++ thingies used in a chain before though... not in the README/tutorial anyway...

Hmmm... could I even use INTERJECT to have other, non-custom party members comment on my custom NPC joining?
i.e. instead of EXTERN, put the INTERJECT or INTERJECT_COPY_TRANS command in the custom NPC's file to have, for instance, Yoshimo and Anomen warn good old <CHARNAME> to be careful?

Yep, thanks... while I'm the one who in the Art of programming is quite a few trees short of a forest, the ones who have mastered it tend to put too many trees in my way
No offense, of course  :)

Strings... heh, apart from sounding like something affiliated with underwear, it's also pretty confusing. But thanks for the help-- I guess I'll just have to TP2 everything.

NI works by reading string references for things such as names.  Just leave the name blank for now if you are making a mod.  You will assign it later when you are copying across the CRE in the tp2 (at the same time you write the BIO and assign sounds).

Ummmyes, but I cannot change *anything* at all. It's like it is read-only. I've also tried CreatureMaker, which lets me *edit* the things I want (however, for some reason not extract files) and then saves them really garbled up...
