In Topic: Asking for a file that doesn't exist with my BG1 cds

06 August 2013 - 06:46 PM

I solved the issue. It turns out that the file in question was located on CD2 instead of CD3 (The game shipped with 3 CDs total). Seems kinda backwards to me, and the fact that the installation didn't copy over ALL the movie files when I chose custom install is BEYOND me..

Which CD compilation is this? It'll help to know to aid other users to avoid this problem.

It is the compilation Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga

It should work fine. BG2 Fixpack v10 was released some time ago if you want to use the latest version though.

Ok but since I already have this version installed, how do I go about switching to the latest version? Will BWP do that for me automatically?

Ended up having to do just that, removing the entire game from my HD just because of this one text issue. I'm guessing this glitch was a result of the dialog.tlk file being altered by a mod.

I decided to use BWP instead for installing my mods since it's clear manual installation is a no-go.  In any event I attached a updated WEIDU mod order list here: Does this seem to have less conflicts?

In Topic: Mass uninstall?

http://forums.pocket...ic,17555.0.html for plain BG2. You can probably make a BGT backup, too - a quick uninstall all in one.

Just don't forget to delete mod folders(or their backup subfolders) and weidu.log together with override.

But I'm only wanting to troubleshoot BG1. Are all the steps provided in the link applicable to this? Also I have installed BGT to my default WIndows XP directory (E:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA) is this correct or should I reinstall my BG1 & 2 to another dir?
