In Topic: Romancing Tashia and Saerileth

I've saved an original of the SAERILET.baf script and put in an edited version which cuts out the romance-ending bits. Wasn't too hard to do when I knew the solution. Thanks for the advice. :) Hopefully the edits won't screw up anything else, although I don't see how they could.

I have done the same but i haven't try it yet. I haven't finished my current BWP install. After i finish this i make new BWP install and try it.

You should edit SAERIL25.baf if you want to play ToB also.

Thanks for the tip. :)

I would really like to know how it goes.

It's worked fine for the couple hours I've played since the edit; all lovetalks are working normally with Tashia's variable at 1 and Saerileth at 2. I'll post later if any problems crop up.

I'm trying to romance Tashia and Saerileth at the same time (I don't want to play the game through twice as a good character). As long as the romanceactive variables for both was 1, everything was fine. But once Saerileth's variable switched to 2, Tashia's went to 3, and switching it back to 1 with Shadowkeeper didn't work--as soon as I loaded the edited save, the variable automatically switched back to 3. Is there any way to avoid this happening? A happy patch, maybe? I've heard that it screws up Tashia's romance somewhere so I've avoided it up to now, but if there's no other choice...

No you can't romance them at the same time. Saerileth kills almost every other romances when it's set to 2. Editing with Shadowkeeper doesn't help as you have noticed.

I have heard that Saerileth is screwed if you install multiromance patch. But i'm not sure?

I double checked any sites that mention it, and it's true, it causes a constant stutter bug. It seems that the happy patch constantly checks global romance variables and sets them to allow romances, which comes in conflict with the Saerilet.baf script constantly doing just the opposite.

I think that only modifying Saerileth mod and then reinstall might solve the Saerileth romance killing. Maybe these modders know better because i'm only a hardcore player. :D

That means a creature is missing or defective. Try installing this (areatest) and inputting ar1000 as the area. If it doesn't indicate any missing CREs, at least it will give you a list you can use to CLUAConsole:CreateCreature() each one to find the buggy one.

(I suppose I should upload that somewhere more convenient like Modding Tools or something.)

I traced the bug to Kelsey and uninstalled his mod; the Gov District works perfectly now. Thanks for the help.

I have the same error as Martix, but a different entry in the baldur.err:

---------------------Start Logging Session---------------------

ASSERTION FAILED!
File: ObjCreature.cpp
Line: 12381

Exp: creatureSize == 0

Msg: no msg.
Run Debugger?

I've tried replacing the AR1000.bif file with the original from the disc, but the error still occurred.

Is there a way to pinpoint which creature is causing the crash? I can't even find ObjCreature.cpp.
