In Topic: Item Makers Wanted

27 October 2004 - 01:59 AM

To add to what Chevar has already said:

Ok basically what we want is for people to make items for the WTP, it doesn?t matter if you cant make bams but its preferred. You can make any item you like be it sword, bow, robe, armor or whatever. The only real condition is that it doesn?t refer to the Forgotten Realms as the World Transition Project is set in another world (Mytera). Your item will be used in this new world; it might be found in a chest, sold by a merchant, or found in the horde of a dragon.

If you?re interested in making items for the WTP then post right here or if you have any questions then just ask. If you want to know more about the WTP or this new world?s history then visit our forum: http://forums.blackw...hp?showforum=55

In Topic: importing creature animations

and the assets of Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic were sold to Ubi Soft for $1.3 million.

Well that explains why Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete had ubi soft written on it. As for the animation importing isnt the problem with Heroes animations is that they are completely 2D? (for HOMM3 anyway, never played HOMM4 - cant find a copy anywhere).

Smaller maps will be fine just dont make it like the lost woods from Zelda: Ocarina of Time (one of my favourite games of all time, I can still remember the song from that area... *Starts whistling*) where I remember getting completely lost and annoyed... So you can make it big but not so big that you get completely lost with no idea what to do next. *Still whistling to Zelda tunes*

Assuming you use xp (for windows 98 I believe its shift+ right click to get open with...) right click NearInfinity.jar -> choose properties (or open with -> choose program) click the change button next to open with. If you're lucky java will be under recommended programs or other programs. If its not do a search for java and then go back to the open with box and click browse. Navigate to the directory where the java exe is (mines called javaw). Hope that helps.
