but I do have one request if someone can post a screenie of what their mods extracted look like or their SOA directory... thankyou so much.

Well here's mine, as I said it wasn't too dissimilar from yours. Hope things work out for you.

@Sheriff of Nothing: hih, all your n00bness belongs to us... But so does everybody else's to you.

  My 4+ years away from this game has now been exposed after just a couple of days!

Mind you, everybody here has certainly moved things on since I remember helping to distribute Bardez's original BGT from the old Team BG site. 650 MBs via eMule at 4 kbs. Happy days!!..........no wonder my PC gave up on me.

You don't need TotSC patch.

What? I wouldn't risk my whole BGT-BigWorld experience just because I was lazy not installing a patch to a game... You don't need to reinstall the BG1 everytime for BWP, but that's a different thing!

I KNOW, my mistake. I got my edit in just before your post, but you got me. For some reason I was thinking of the BG patch 23037. Marks for the rest of my post? ;)

Thought I'd got away with that criminal faux pas!

If you follow the steps in the Big World Project manual to the letter then you can't go wrong. Excellent piece of work. I've got an install similar to yours and everything is good so far:

1. BWP Installer & Tools (latest) - not forgetting End Biff and a copy of the latest WeiDU file (currently 2.08).
2. Mods (in order)- G3 BG2 Fixpack, Baldurdash 1.66, TDD, SoS, CtB, TS, RoT, BGT and Restored Music, DSoSC, NToSC, (SoBH), BG1 UB, BGII UB, (ToD) and BG2 Tweaks.
3. Worldmap (latest, currently v7).

Extract all to BG2 directory.

Ascension (and BP), FR, Defjam & Widescreen I haven't used yet. If you install manually make sure it's done in the exact order that the manual outlines. My auto-install went perfectly.

Thanks guys. Works an absolute treat. :)

I should have done a bit more reading cos it clearly states what you've just advised in the BiG World manual (chapter 27.1). Me being too hasty (lazy?).

Superb job done there by the way. Must be said. In a world of first-person shooters and...er....Fallout 3, these mods and project have breathed new life back into an absolute classic!

OK, so I've tried a different install and still the same, so I guess this is the way it's intended.

Is there then a way to restore the original BGII music?

( In Waukeen's Promenade I feel like I should be looking to fight some orcs rather than peacefully kitting out my crew at Ribald's).
