Best class for main character

I have start BG1 with human kensai with stats 18\03-18-18-18-15-3, 2 points at dual weapons and 2 points at scimitars.
strength will be 19 at the end of BG, wisdom will be 18.
At 13 level I will dual it to mage.
Other points will put at katana
Any recommendations?
UPD. Sorry, not "maun" but "main"
