Hi, 

I am playing bg2 on a windows 8 machine. I did a fresh install, which I kept as a backup, then copied an older modded SoA install to play with. I ran the program with administrator privileges and in compatibility mode WinXP. 

The issue I am having is that my saves are different depending on if the game was started via desktop shortcut or via the CD menu. My current game save only shows up if I start from the CD menu. However, when the game is started in this mode the quicksave function does not work.  Quicksave issue fixed by erasing old quicksave folder.

If anyone has some insight into this I would appreciate it.
