proficiency problem....

07 March 2005 - 07:40 AM

I just leveled my fighter kit (Bladesinger I think it was called) to level 11 and noticed that he hasnt gained any proficiency stars since his creation. And then I realized no one else had either. I went ahead and CLUAed to level 19 and noticed he didnt get any stars...niether did Shar-Teel (they are both the same class...) but other folks in my party did (Aierie, Keldorn, ect)....

Is this something that should be happening with that particular kit? If not, what levels should I be gaining profiencies? Another forum user told me it was

"Fighters, Paladins, Rangers, and Barbarians get 4 to start with and an additional one on every level that's an even multiple of 3. (sounds like every 6 levels to me...)

Clerics, Druids, Thieves, Bards, and Monks get 2 to start with and additional one on every level that's an even multiple of 4. (sounds like every 4 levels...)

Mages and Sorcerors get 1 to start with and an additional one on every level that's an even multiple of 6. (sounds like every 6)

Dual classes progress at the rate of the class that they are currently active. Multi-classes get whichever is the best option among all their classes. The order from best to worst is fighter->cleric/thief->mage.

So any fighter multiclass will progress at the fighter's rate. Thief/Clerics, Thief/Mages, and Cleric/Mages will progress at the rate of cleric/thief.
"

Is this accurate? Do I need to shadowkeeping profs into my characters?

I'm running BP, with SOA/TOB installed. patched according to the directions and such (version 6 installed)....
