My edition of BGI says 1.1.4315 in the readme file and TotSC says 1.3.5508 in the readme. The 5512 patch is attached in .zip form. I got it from the bioware web page. I used the first link on the list of patches for TotSC, the "TOSC Canada and US patch". I chose english (selection 0) for the WeiDU installation.

I tried replacing the NPCSound.bif with the one from Jarno Mikkola but there was no change. I now have my original back in place again to keep from getting things confused.

If it's any troubleshooting help, Imoen says the following four things when I click on her portrait on the side of the window:

1) "I am of few words and fewer hesitations! Warnings past and now you die!"
2) "I take no offense from your comments. You just don't understand the bond I have with Boo."
3) "Oh, play on bard. 'Tis sweet music to my furry friend."
4) "A bored man is an angry man."

She cyles through those four things (one per click of course). The first three are in Minsc's voice but the last one is in another voice. I did a quick google search and I think it's from a char called Garrick.

Please let me know if I can give further information that will be useful. Thanks for your help.

Ok, here goes.

It was a clean install. I completely uninstalled the previous installation and then deleted the files that were left after uninstallation and started fresh. I installed BG, started and saved a game, installed TotSC, started and saved a game, installed BGII SoA, started and saved a game, installed BGII ToB, started and saved a game, installed the 5512 BG patch, installed the BGII 26498 patch, installed the BG2 Fix pack V6, installed BGT 1.05b, then installed the BGT 1.05b patch. My weidu log is below:

// Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods

My disc set is a 4 DVD set. BG is one DVD, TotSC is another, SoA another, and finally ToB the fourth. I'm not sure the version and I use english whenever a language option is presented if that's what you're asking. Is that information found on the discs or in the game?

I installed the BGT-WeiDU(v1.05b+patch) in English.

My NPCSound.bif file is 43,510KBs and my 25Npcso.bif file is 90,830KB.

My dialog.tlk file is zipped and attached.

Thanks for your help. Hope you find something. :)

I got the BGT to install by changing my path to "c:\games\bg" and I haven't added anything to the installation beyond the 5512 patch, the BGII patch 26498, the BG2 Fix pack V6, and the BGT 1.05b patch. After installing with the fix pack, the problem persists. Imoen uses the voice of Minsc most of the time but not always and the other chars are all mixed up as well. I'm using Vista as my OS. Any ideas on how to correct the voices?

Alright, I'm finally able to look at my BG install again. As I was playing through the game, in addition to the Tutors in the opening grunting instead of actually talking I found that my team members' voices didn't match what they should have been. Imoen's voice was that of the guy with his mouse Boo (don't know his name yet). I was introduced to a fix pack for BGII that I hadn't previously installed and I'm going to do another install using that before I install BGT. Can someone tell me if I'm headed in the right direction to get these sound issues corrected?

That seems to have worked. The Tutors still grunt which is a little wierd/funny but everyone talks to me now. Thanks again for the help!
