Does anyone know where I can find a detailed map of the Cloud Peaks region, showing the locations of all the major areas within?

I don't have a detailed map, but if you're working in the Cloudpeaks, you may be able to help me. Just north of Crimmor on the north bank of an (un-named?) river lie the Twin Towers. Do you know if they each have an individual name?

Well, at least I have a copy of the AD&D 2nd edition Lands of Intrigue set to look some of these things up.

The river connecting Lake Weng to the sea is Alandor River.
The Twin Towers don't really have separate names, but are referred to as the western tower and the eastern tower.

Do you happen to be working on the Cloud Peaks as well Yovaneth?

Not in the Cloudpeaks per se; the storyline of my mod has taken me to the Twin Towers - or at least, one of them. I don't have much D&D info at all as I haven't played for around fifteen years (apart from the IE CRPGs) and I wasn't really serious then, so I didn't collect any handbooks and hence that's why I keep asking what are basic questions to any self-respecting d&d-er!!

I finished Photoshopping the tower area last night; I think it will be the Eastern Tower, for want of any real reason to name it!

Thank you for providing the information; your help is very welcome. :)

I'm not too much of an active DnD player either, and there is just so much information to divulge, you would have to study them! But anyway, if you have any questions about bits and pieces of DnD lore, just post or PM away. :D

I'm not sure there is a detailed map of the cloud peaks. The FR setting is enormous, many millions of square miles, only a few locations, mainly towns/cities, or palces that are detialed in official adventure modules, are truely detailed. DMs are expected to fill in the blanks with whatever works for their games.

So, just make it up.

The Lands of Intrigue sourcebook's map of the Cloudpeaks is probably the best I've seen. BTW in case no-one knows, you can freely and legally download this product from Wizards.com: http://wizards.com/d...d/dnd/downloads

The Twin Towers are actually in the Small Teeth range, rather the Cloudpeaks. They don't seem to have individual names, other than "east tower" and "west tower". Here's a blurb from the aforementioned sourcebook:

Situated deep within the highest peaks of the Small Teeth and flanking the Trade Way, the twin Towers of the Eternal Eclipse cannot be seen from the road. In fact, not even the sun touches these slim edifices, as they are built so that dense trees, mountains, and the like block sunlight from them. All that is revealed to the sky (and careful scouts within a 1-mile radius of either tower) is a bronze disc the size of a shield with Cyric’s mark on it, the darker areas in tarnished silver; one of these is atop each five-story tower. The towers, though separated by 5 miles, are connected underground by a twisting tunnel.

There is a temple of Cyric in the Cloudpeaks, but it's called the Mountain of Skulls. I suspect you may have heard this already, but the priests of the Mountain of Skulls and those of the Twin Towers would like nothing more than to conquer or destroy each other ;).

Argh!!! That's blown my pretty picture out of the water and ruined fifteen lots of dialog :o . Better that I know, I guess - I should have researched before thinking it was a Good Idea.

Sure, within the restrictions of the Lands of Intrigue set descriptions, I'll make it up then. :D
