Whenever I try to travel to Cloudpeak Mountains (the area directly east of the Gnoll Stronghold) the game just crashes. Is therea bug with this area (its not vital to the game but id like the money from the winter wolves). Is there a way t hat i can just download the missing area or would I have to re-install the entire game again (not reallyl worth it for that one area). Thanks for any help on this, loving the mod.

that's strange, as i had no problems with that area at all. start by doing the obvious things: delete the contents of the cache\data directory, and try again, and if that fails, post the contents of yr Weidu.log here, so we can see what else you've got installed that might be causing this.

That should be the area with the lake, the dryad, the 2 idiots trying to cut down the dyrad's tree, etc. DSotSC and NTotSC don't touch this area. BG1NPC adds some dialogs here but I don't think anything is actually added to either the area script or to the ARE file.

I'll try to clear the cache as asked.... I've only got BGT weidu and Weidu Ease of use installed. Nothing else.

Which way are you trying to access the area from? Try entering the area from another direction. I can't try and reproduce the CTD myself at the moment, since I am at work. If you can enter the area from another direction, I must have screwed up an Exit Name in WORLDMAP.WMP.

No, I've tried it from all sides. Just hear the Windows Thunk crash sound and get a blk screen. It might be a messed up install, but thats the only error I've had otherwise.

I think it might have asked for a cd yes...Is this the problem?...I just tried to leave the mines and it crashes also....Gonna try to re-install.

It should have been OK if you pressed Cancel every single time it asked for one. That could be a problem. Follow the troubleshooting guide pinned in this forum to make sure you don't get any errors about asking for CDs and exception errors during install. It sucks, I know, but I don't know how to fix it.

N.B. Treat the problem as if you got exception errors (i.e. start by putting BG-unrelated CDs/DVDs/images in all CD/DVD/virtual drives and install, etc.)

I'm getting the EXACT same problem as this guy, but I never got asked for a CD during installation. It might help you guys out to let you know that I've got the old school 5 disc baldur's gate 1 installed on here..Otherwise, I don't know. It's annoying the hell outta me.

Re-installation worked...even after removing everything from the cd drives and disabling the virutal drives and clicking cancel 5 billion times - lol it installed and now works. I thnk i clicked continue the first time. Most everything but a few areas worked fine. Now all areas are accessible though. Thanks for all the help!

Whew! I should put a notice at the start of the installation:

"BEWARE! HEALTH HAZARD: Installation of BGT-WeiDU can give you Repetitive Strain Injury if your compact disc drives hold something against you. If you wish to avoid this, acquire a pecking bird to press Cancel for you should installation ask you for a CD."

I already got repetitive strain trying to track down all the BP-BGT files that were initially listed in the weidu install order..you guys really should provide links to where people can get them, the SHS download centre doesnt have them all

Unfortunately, there is no such 'labor' government to 'centralise' everything. Everyone is busy working on their own thing, and other real life pursuits. However, having said that, TheWizard's servers have most of the things you are after. If you go to the first download link in my sig, then go to the ASIA FTP/ASIA HTTP/AMERICA HTTP/EUROPE HTTP sites (these are TheWizard's servers), it will take you to where most of the SHS stuff are.
