Maybe it's just me, but I'm playing a multiplayer game with a custom created party. Each time I try to get either the paladin ogre-slaying quest or the quest to find the missing cloak in the jovial jugger in Beregost, I get an illegal shutdown. I formerly had problems with illegal shutdowns when trying to enter areas such as the cloudpeak mountains and the exit to Naskhel, so I reinstalled, hitting cancel for each of the ten million times it asked me to. Don't know if those problems are still there, but the reinstall seems to have created new ones, as the errors weren't there the first time.

When I was installing, I put in a Quake 4 CD into the tray when I went to install BGT, and everything worked perfectly. To me, it sounds like it's trying to call a file that doesn't exist.. I would assume to reinstall BGT with some different disc inside instead of ToB or anything BG related.

That's actually a pretty decent idea. Do the area east of the Kobold Stronghold and the nashkel mines exit work for you?

From what I understanmd though, I did some forum searching and found that other people have had this problem too, pretty much at random. I'm just gonna leave Beregost..nothing but sidequests anyway.

Ahem, there is a pinned topic called '_WeiDU and tis2bg2 crashes' that describes what you need to do about this, but it does not say anything (the topic title) about CTDs. Updated to make it clearer. Hopefully, people will stop posting about this and read that pinned topic now...

Sorry about that fishy. You've helped me out much so far, I just wish all the effort would come to fruition.

I wish I could just get rid of the problem, but fruition has no meaning there.
