IT WORKS !!!!



YES! finally!

It seems that there had been quite big problems with the istallation of BG! This time I've installed it completly. Yesterday I installed ToB too... well, the mod works perfect!

I think the problem was, that Degardan spawned the second time to early! So I haven't had the LT with the personal item ... and everything else went wrong too.

Next time I'll try to play with Anomen too. I had Viconia instead of him in my party... till she had an ...ähm.... "accident" with Keldorns sword....

@Kulyok: Ehm... yes. I think I'll need help with that quest wow, that's really difficult!! And I thought myself good because I killed a certain red dragon...

Huh, what should Viconia say/do about the romance? She was quiet from beginning to the end *sniff*

When you go to the house, BEFORE speaking with Dekaras, type this:

SetGlobal("BancoDead","GLOBAL",1)

Then speak with Dekaras.
Everything should be OK - he should chat with you a bit and leave. The game will think that your quest is complete.

Try it, at least.

I was at level 10-11 and lower (multi-class) when i go there, because of my previous problems with romance (i waited for lovetalks on paused game, done were only Mae'Var quest and Nether Scroll), and I must use cheats, crtl+r on my party members for whole battle. More fun that playing with Console, at least

WITHOUT cheating! Honestly!

I didn't want to use CLUA because thats maybe another reason why I had that problems. (Thanks anyway Kulyok!)
So I tried to fight that battle without any "special" help... just for fun, though! I never thought that I would have ANY chance!!

But...
hehe... gave them some "spider-fodder", and the worst spells were aimed at them


First I casted all support-spells I had, then talked with Dekaras. Then, before the battle started I summoned a few spiders at the right place.... and tried to stay out of the way of that annoying death-clouds...
And suddelny... one of that mages were "near death" - I killed him, Dekaras appeared, I get that Banco-you-know-what, "killed" that one, ... and after that the other mages weren't a big problem any more.

Well.... having three mages in the party isn't that bad anyway! B)

Of course I had very good armor, because I did nearly every quest and killed the two dragons. If you use the lower resistance spell they aren't a big problem. You can finish them off with simple magic missiles.



@Arlaya: Viconia says nothig about the romance itself. But she and Keldorn aren't very good friends... he warned her first, and then after a while he suddenly attacked her... after that I had Anomen as cleric...

I had Vicci a couple of times and she DOES say something. What she says is along the lines of someone trying to gain someone's attention by using HER. And what follows is quite amusing!

Were that talks without PC involving? Maybe I could search for them in romance files...

uh... sorry! Didn't know that Vicci's supposed to say something! I had her once (without mod!) from beginning to the end in my party with Edwin, and they never talked with each other. So, that's part of the mod? Maybe she "left" my party too early? Keldorn had killed her right before Degardan appeared the second time.

But another question: After you finish the quest with Dekaras, you meet your mother-in-law, right?
And after that?? Are there still LTs every 45 min? I just had a short one after I changed the second time to the Avatar of Bhaal. Now I'm in the underdark... but no LT after 45 min....

???

Are there just LTs at special occasions now?

No, your romance is over. After you meet your future mother in law, all you can do is basically hurry to the Tree of Life and ToB portion.

Viccy-Edwin talk isn't *supposed* to show. It *may* show, but it depends on a random timer. Don't worry about this overmuch.

How many LT's are in ToB part? I had 3 or 4, two events and now he's silent. This is the end? *sniff*

Don't know. I didn't play this part. It had these terribly distracting double spaces, "* smirk *", and besides, he kept calling me "my deva". I was tempted to teach him Russian and explain that you don't call your _lover_ "my _deva_", but it was hopeless. So... yeah.

You're romance is probably fine. In TOB the talks go along with events and are not really timed. One after Saradush, one at Forest of Mir, etc. So if you are doing Watchers Keep or something, you won't see the LT's until later.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but - something's strage now.

I went to the graveyard, there I had a little dialogue before Bodhi captured him. I killed all vampires, went down to her chamber and got the next dialogue, that she should give him back.

Well... I killed her and him, took his body, her heart and the three books... and now???

I've got a entry in my diary, that maybe the elves know how to revive him. I talked with Ethan (or so) and with the priests in oghma temple, went to Amaunators altar... but I dont get ANY hint what to do next.

I've read in the readme file that I need something else which I can find on the altar (eh.. what altar? Bhodi's?). I've found two scrolls and a shortblade... but I think they're part of the normal game.

Sorry, but I'm really helpless now.
Never've played that part of the game before and now I'm a bit lost in the whole trouble..

You need to put his body into the altar. Then you'll be asked for a strand of hair he gave you, and then - for your blood. Should work.
Just bear in mind that if you are overly kind to him, he'll change his alignment.

I thougt that you *have to* speak with Elhan or the Oghma priest. And that they tell you what to do.
But as I said, I dont get any dialogue. They act as if I haven't any romance at all.

That's part of the mod?

Elhan and the Oghma priest are not part of the mod - this little clue about how to revive your loved one is present in all the original romances, so I put it in for Edwin as well.
