I'm going to play for the first time baldur's gate 1 and 2 with many mods. In the compatibility list it says that tortured souls is only partially compatible with baldur's gate trilogy and has NPC transition problem.
1)What does it mean? Will I be able to play without problems if I install it? Does it work with nej part 1 and patch? What is the difference between tortured souls version 6.04 and 6.05? The version 6.04 is the only that works well with Bgtrilogy and the darkest day? Where can it be downloaded version 6.04? On internet I found only V6.05.
no, you
wont be able to play without problems - otherwise it would be listed as fully compatible. the problems you'll experience with TSv6.04 wont be vast, however. TSv6.05, as stated repeatedly,
does not work with this install. the best way to avoid problems with TSv6.04, at this stage, is to install it just before you transition from
BG1 to
BG2 (
ie, after you've finished
BG1, but before you speak with Belt for the final time).
2)Then I see on the compatibility list that Neverending journey part 1 is compatible, but not the second part. If I install only part 1, and not the second, will it work without problems? Even with the darkest day installed?
assuming you can still find a copy of NEJ1, then Asc64 has verified it works. NEJ2 doesn't work with this install at the moment.
3)And The darkest day is described only as partially compatible; If I install it can I play without problems? What kind of problems there can be if I install it on BGTrilogy? And what is the latest version of darkest day?
the incompatibility between
TDD and
BGT, as clearly listed on the compatibility thread, is an unfortunate ambush if you have Xzar in yr party too long in
BG1 - you can CLUA around this if necessary by changing the relevant variables.
NPC transition problems won't cause you any real grief. the latest version of
TDD is v1.05.
The mods I would like to install are the following:
-Baldurdash 1.12;
-Never ending journey part 1 and "Continuous and Custom Kit Imoen component" (only If they work) or tortured souls;
-bgtrilogy weidu;
-dark side of the sword coast;
-northern side of the sword coast;
-Ding0 quest pack V 2.21;
-the gray clan: episode 1;
-Ascension;
-The darkest day;
-BG1NPC4BGT;
-Yakomo's world map V5
In which order should I install them?
Thanks.
it would help you substantially if yr install list looked more like
this: baldurdash-
weidu not 1.12,
then TDD,
then TS (6.04, of course),
then BGT-
weidu,
then everything else on yr list except the worldmap, then the worldmap, and finally the
TDD and TS fixes.
the
BGT compatibility list is updated often, with descriptions of incompatibilities, the installation list is posted in multiple fourms so that you won't miss it.
