On TheWizard's mirror sites, you will find a new version of BG1NPC for BGT-Weidu. It is still the same as the v11 from G3, I just made some changes to it and reposted.

Changes:
Imoen's BIMOEN2.DLG file is checked to see if it already exists (this should make BG1NPC compatabile with NeJ2).
Fixed some of Jaheira's dialog files. Hopefully this also fixes the druid quest she has (I didn't verify this).
Fixed some of Alora's dialog files.
Used Weidu version 189 which required some tweaks to the TP2 file (who came up with the error message about wrong slash keys? :angry: )
Fixed Coran's script. For some reason Weidu doesn't like some of the G3 coding of the script (multiple conditions on one line - token error) so I pasted into DLTCEP, compiled, and pasted back into the BAF file. Now it works.

Thank you Very Much Sir BillyBob. Just Downloaded it. I'm going to test it a bit later. I'm curious if Ascension's Mod that Affect's Kagain's quest will affect anything? Anywho, I'm off to bugtesting again!

Example: Will the BG1npc's quest be disabled? and how? Example: Xzar appearing and asking you to look for Montaron?

Sorry if the question is noobish, i haven't tried it out yet.

Because i'm still toying with the Easy Tutu program.

But once the Trilogy gets to the 1.0, i'd like to give it a try.

I 100% support you guys work.

Any BG mod that allows me to keep the BG1 Xzar & Montaron is worth checking out!
Jaheira- You are amusing, in a "what the hell is wrong with you" kind of way.
Montaron- Ye live longer if ye don't annoy me. Mayhaps even a week or more.

TDD used to do exactly this, in its bp-bgt "classic" incarnation. Perhaps King Diamond took it out in later versions of TDD-weidu, I am unsure. They didn't have much dialog, if any, at any rate. :rolleyes:

So are you saying that the npc's that you have from bg1 don't carry over soa?, because this paragraph would be considered false advertising if it was!

I just double-checked the most recent package; if you have TDD installed, you can also carry over several others. Kivan, Kagain, Montaron, Xzar, and Yeslick. This is fully supported in the BGT parting script, before the transition (ARAM00.bcs).

Keep in mind that TDD did next-to-zero dialog/plot development for these PC's, and still hasn't to date. So, you have to decide if this is worth it, for yourself.

What if i were to import the BG1 lvl6 xzar and montaron cre file into the overide of shadows of amn, would they still carry over in the mod?

If they were in your party before leaving BG1, they will import into BG2. Without equipment, but otherwise "as is". Your CRE file transfers are nothing but redundancy. IE reads the biff's as well as the override folder.

Found the following thing in v11.1. Jaheira's quest with druids, Andarthe is killed or let go, after that X#JAHEIRASEN is set to 25. But the condition for a girl to appear is its value of 20 or 22.
Other thing, after completing the quest Seniyad gives the club, but it has empty icon. It can be moved in inventory, equipped but the icon does not exist.

I already posted the global bug over at G3. It comes from them. The icon bug is fixed for the 11.2 patch which isn't out yet.

Should BG1NPC have a specific place in the installation order or any is fine ? Thanks!

I would recommend after any larger mod such as DSotSC or Grey Clan or SoBH. It mostly modifies NPC dialogs and scripts but there are some area script updates as well. So the impact on your current files is minor, but the additions are major to the overall experience of the game.

I have received another nasty problem with Beador and Maretha quest. Earlier I had this problem that Maretha never appeared in the Tree House. Now I have installed BG1NPC112 patch and this problem transformed into another as follows.

After entering Cloakwood Forest 4 location I see Beador laying on the ground. Beador asks to save Maretha in Tree House. Then 5 shadow druids appear. Fight begins after conversation. Immediately after I kill last shadow druid, Jaheira says "Perhaps it is for the best. I would rather be somewhere else, as you appear to be somewhat of a lost cause. You have some of Gorion's sense, but little of his wisdom". And leaves my party!

I return to Cloakwood Forest 3 location, but there is neither shadow druids near Tree House, nor Maretha inside the Tree House.

Party's reputation is 19. I have no idea what triggers Jaheira to leave. And it seems she is imperative for this quest to go on.

Any ideas?

That's fun. Guys from G3 said "we don't support BGT version". ok, does anyone can recommend a workaround? Of this bug? I've spent too much time on making Jaheira a decent NPC. I would be sorry to lose her now.

BTW, ScuD, I've read topic above - it says about different problem. Though I've had topic problem before, it was sucessfully fixed by 11.1 patch.

I have found a workaround for my problem.

1. Before killing last shadow druid guarding Beador, drive Jaheira away from fight and kick her out of the party. She should stay there.
2. Then kill last shadow druid.
3. Save a game (not quicksave, but save).
4. Quit BG.
5. Open Shadow Keeper.
6. Open your saved game.
7. Navigate to "Global Variables" sheet.
8. In the end of the list of variables find X#JAHEIRASEN
9. Set it to 20.
10. Save modified game.
11. Load it in BG.
12. Accept Jaheira back to your party.

To test if this workaround has worked for you - talk to Beador. He should say something, instead of "Beador has nothing to say to you".
