Boo creature doesn't work

Hi everyone,

i have a problem with Boo (Horred: i've just pointed that out in Black W forums). Actually i can "cast" him from Minsc's slot but no creature is summoned :wacko: :wacko:

The summoning animation is correct (i see the smog) but no creature is created (but Boo leaves the item slot) ... anyone has a clu about that?

List of mods installed (the same as my last install ... and hopefully the same for LOOONG time :P )

- NEJ 6.02 (biffed)
- BD Weidu 1.5
- BGT 1.0 + NEJ compatibility patch for BGT
- DSotSC (last weidu)
- NTotSC (last weidu) + "very little" patch
- SoBH (last weidu) + biff utility
- TGCE (BGT version)
- BG1 NPC project for BGT + music pack
- Biffed files fro DS/NStoSC and BG1 NPC Project
- BP weidu 1.76
- BGT Tweaks (just some)
- G3 Tweaks (just some)
- Experience Fixer (creature to 25%)
- Pixel Production Project
- Woldmap v5
- Biffed evrything left (unfortunately i biffed tis files too, but ... ok :whistling: )
- GUI for BGT (Elminster wielding staff)

No, my guess is that it totally disables what little bit is working.

I have no guess what is wrong either, but I'm sure it's something little. Boo was working fine before I sent the files to Vlad.

I made it, I'll fix it. Just not today. :P

Yep it is what i thought too ...

I have no guess what is wrong either, but I'm sure it's something little. Boo was working fine before I sent the files to Vlad.

I made it, I'll fix it. Just not today. :P


Of course, nice to know it will be fixed :Bow: (may be i'll have a look at the script ... but it takes time and that is what i don't have actually :angry: )

Chevalier, if u have the chance to read this post, i know you'e using NEJ with Boo creature, have you ever had such problem?

I still have the Boo problem as well. With the BGT-NEJ Fix Boo shows up as Veter, and then won't talk to you to unsummon. Without the fix Boo shows up as Boo, but is viewed as an "unusable item, can be cast once, and retrieved by talking to him, however, he can then never be re-equiped by Minsc because he is "unusable". I found the .rar archive Horred sent to Vlad, but I don't know where exactly to place which files, as Vlad's fix doesn't encompass nearly as many files or even all of the same ones.

I have stoped using the Boo fix and Boo works just fine for me.

Ok so i try to uninstall the fix from BGT Tweaks and let you if it does fix too :P (strange indeed uninstall a fix to fix ... :wacko: :wacko: :wacko: )

Uninstalling the fix didn't work for me but what I did to get it to work was after installing the fix using NearInfinity I changed resource from Boo2.cre to Boo.cre. Well to be more specific I clicked on BOO.ITM in Minsc's inventory, item ability, then effect and that is where I changed the resource. Now everything works great. Hope this helps.

I've reinstalled everything ... dunnow why but uninstalling boo fix caused weidu to unistall everything! ;)

Anyway i had to re-install 'cause i wanted to dig up a little on installations, found an error i'm going to post in SoB forum ...

Now (without fix for Boo), the little creature works beautifully ... Ascension maybe you could leave out this component from NEJ patch 'cause it seems to break that feature,

Anyway ... without the fix Boo in Minsc's slot has an icon with the "yellow" color used for the items a character cannot bear/use ...

Moreover, but here i don't know how Boo is supposed to work. When i summon it, it is ALWAYS with us, even after a complete rest ... is that normal?

That's where I found if Minsc talks to Boo, he can pick him up, but because he is yellowed out, Boo can no longer be equipped in Minsc's quickslot. 1 time summoning only. :(

I should get Boo from v4.2 and remove all following fixes in later versions. It was okay in v4.2. It will be the same in v6.7.

What mods/tweaks did you have installed Chev please? I didn't install boo fix too but i can use it just once as erebusant confirmed above ...

Hmmm ... similar to mine but i don't have Tortoured Souls and TDD mods. Does Tortoured Souls touch is some way Minsc/boo? i also dohave BPv177 instead of BPv176.

Well I have only got to the start of BG2 and am thinking of reinstalling and starting over. So no problems so far.
