Hokay. I'm on my fourth time of trying to pul together Bp-Bgt-NeJ. Every single breakthrough I've made in getting stuff to couperate has come from these forums... thanks a ton guys.

However, I cannot get past my BGT install (1.00 Weidu.) Shortly after beginning to go through the creature files, I get this problem (text before and after included for context.)

[BGT/Modify/CRE/EDWIN.CRE] loaded, 1440 bytes

My question: Can I prevent BGT from making this copy (if it's not critical), can I get this missing file from somewhere, or is there something I am completely missing? I've been following the install order found in the pinned section with the versions displayed; the only abberation from it was that I could not manage to get the NEJ patch v602 to work after using the NEJbiffer v3 first (as it told me to do) and having it run Setup-NEJ2.exe for me (because I couldn't stand the in-game pop music.). I also used the G3 fixpack instead of BD-WeiDU.

Please don't tell me that I have to reinstall again - I've been through it three times already.

G3 fixpack is not yet officially released, did you use the "source-code" version? or, which is highly possible, you used G3 Tweak pack, which MUST NOT be installed first, sorry. :whistling:

Make sure you install the "Continious and Custom Kit Imoen" component of main NeJ2 install.

That also should allow you to install v6.02 patch.

You shouldn't worry about NeJ pop-music, because Biffer v3 now prevents it from being installed automatically. As long as you don't choose NeJ GUI, you won't hear it.

EDIT: In case, the above doesn't help - please post the contents of your WEIDU.LOG file here.

Check if you have <BGII install directory>\BGT\Modify\CRE\IMOEN.CRE. If not, then I think you might have extracted/downloaded your archive incorrectly.

That was one of the first things I checked, but it was there in my BGT folder. I'll post the log later today.

As for the G3 fixpack, it was the fixpack I -believe-, but I'll check again; it was the one that removed helmet animations, if that's any help.

And if I want to try the Imoen install from NeJ2, will that screw my install (meaning I might have to go back a fifth time?)

I also found this: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=19761, although alfaran does not mention whether the problem was resolved by installing the custom Imoen kit.

Yep, that's G3 Tweaks: http://www.gibberlin...tweak/index.php. Fixpack is still in the works like I said - for now you must use BD-Weidu. G3 Tweaks should be one of the last mods installed, for best effect (along with Tutu Tweaks).

And if I want to try the Imoen install from NeJ2, will that screw my install (meaning I might have to go back a fifth time?)

I'm afraid it's already screwed... :( You can try it of course, but I would start anew. (yes I know how long it takes)

I also found this: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=19761, although alfaran does not mention whether the problem was resolved by installing the custom Imoen kit.

I had exactly same problems myself - did not install Imoen kit component => could not install v6.02 patch => could not install BGT. I started again from scratch, and after including Imoen kit it went along smoothly to the end.

(wail) AHH Not again....

(sigh) Eh, oh well... fifth time here we go. I REALLY hope this is really worth it.

Last minute questions: Any other mod parts before BGT that need to be installed?
Install v602 right after using v3 of the NEJ biffer?
I'm installing these other mods after BGT (all weidu): Banterpack, Flirtpack, Dalis sword upgrade (because his weaponry does kinda suck and I love the character), unfinished bussiness, BG1 NPC upgrade (BP comp. version) /w music, Virtue, G3 tweaks, and world map (probably in that order.) Anything that's conflicting or out of order, or is that kosher?

Once again, many thanks for the info (goes off to uninstall yet again).

DON'T install Virtue, it's incompatible with BGT.

In my case I installed all NeJ2 components except Jaheira custom kit, didn't try any other combinations.

Install v602 right after using v3 of the NEJ biffer?

Yes, but: the biffer was made to be used along with Big Picture-Weidu. Take a look at this thread: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=20056. If you use biffer and don't install BP, you may have problems if you play Cavalier/Undead Hunter or take Hrothgar in your party while playing NeJ2.

Banterpack

from BGT compatibility list:

BGT-WeiDU is partially compatible with:
- Banter Pack v6 or below
inappropriate Shadows of Amn banters occur during Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast

Meh - honestly, I'll suffer the inappropriate dialouge because the rest of banterpack is worth it (I believe.)

Crap, I didn't know that about virtue (I really liked that mod). Any other really good quest-based mods besides it that are BP-BGT compatible? I looked into Dsotsc and Nsotsc, but I saw lots of threads about bug reports... and I'd hate to do another re-install.

BTW, with virtue... Seanas's BP-BGT weidu installation order sticky had Virtue as one of the options. What's up with that?

Oadie,

Remember when reading, that there is the old non-WeiDU versions and the new WeiDU versions, Many of the bugs that are reported are people playing old versions and installing mods that are not compatibile.

Ok then... in that case I'll try Dsotsc. But if it screws up my install... :wall:

So I don't screw it up... any suggestions where I should install it (along with other random Weidu-mods?)

EDIT: I just checked, and it isn't compatible with BGT-BP. Besides, I kinda want to play my first go through of BG1 relatively unmodded. (Yes, I did BG2 before BG1 - shame shame.)

Any other suggestions?

Actually, DSotSC is perfectly compatible with BP-BGT. I've played through it at least twice with that combo of mods. Check version 1.81 (WeiDU). It's a tough one to get through, but worth a look, since it adds quite a few nifty quests to BGT. Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide.

Heh, my bad. :) I can say again that Virtue isn't on the compatibility list.

YES! Everything is running smoothly and the pop music IS GONE! Man the original BG1 music is so much better... plenty of thanks to all of you!
