I always thought it adds your custom string to the end of SongList.2DA like

## MxSomemusic MxSomemusic.mus

as well as copies the actual .mus file to the music folder right?

and you have to add

PlaySong(999999) to the script and then do:

ADD_MUSIC ~MxSomemusic~ ~mymod/music/MxSomemusic.mus~

REPLACE_TEXTUALLY 999999 ~%MxSomemusic%~

Which changes PlaySong(999999) to PlaySong('##') right?

I just got a bug report on Redemption that has shaken me badly. Can somebody confirm this Weidu command please? I think the ADD_MUSIC explanation was supposed to be added to the WEIDU readme like 6 months ago ...

Freedom cannot be equated with goodness, virtue, or perfection. Freedom has its own unique self-contained nature; freedom is freedom ? not universal goodness. Any confusion or deliberate equalization of freedom with goodness and excellence is in itself negation of freedom, and acceptance of the path of restraint and enforcement.

Your example isn't showing the part where you actually do the replacing within the BCS file that plays the music.

Observe the example from Kelsey-SOA:

ADD_MUSIC ~MYMUSIC~ ~kelsey/j#blank.mus~
COPY ~kelsey/J#Klsy.bcs~ ~override/J#Klsy.bcs~
REPLACE_TEXTUALLY 123456 ~%MYMUSIC%~

So you must execute the ADD_MUSIC step before the COPY step on the relevant BCS file, and then during the COPY of the BCS, perform the REPLACE_TEXTUALLY.

I got this right at least - by pure luck not because I knew what I was doing. I got the PlaySong() command overwritten in the script file which resulted in the wrong song being played in the script in many occasions I bet, but luckily nobody noticed until I did myself.
