Okay, I once found this mod via a lot of back tracking.
I once askeds the 'current' Avenger, but Nightmare said it wasn't the right one. It is a mod that changes some of the thief and bard aspects including kits and also adds a few items of BG1 and I believe a few new ones... perhaps hlidsklaif might also know what I mean... Is this old? Does it need resurrection? I like some of the changes like for the Jester kit and contains the 'restore' function so yeah it is old, but may we resurrect this? I have no idea how to improve this mod and not really the time, but I do have the files.

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.

you mean AVENGER's Rogue Rebalancing pack (AKA the a-pack). ronin was updating this recently, and as part of the process he contacted the original author (who is active on other gaming boards) who refused permission for it to be resurrected. there's a thread on G3 where you can find aVENGER's refusal, if yr interested.
as a result, we're stuck with the old broken Rogue Rebalancing pack, unless you want to release an update that the original author has explicitly stated that he doesn't want released.

aVENGER (that how he likes it spelled - don't ask) stated in [this post] that he did not want the mod as a whole updated or supported. He does give clear permission to freely incorporate parts of his mods into others. Read the post.

I know aVENGER did not want his mod updated. I belive he has moved on to other things. Does Bioware want BG1 updated to BG2 engine?? Or any mods made? If a modder is continueing to support thier mod then I think you should respect his wishes. When a game or mod becomes abandonware then others can can mod it. At this point I think it should be alright to make a mod for apack. If you make a mod that incorprates some or all of apack that gives credit to aVENGER for his part of the mod would be ok.

Well, aVENGER came out of the cold to expressly state his wishes. So - from someone who is an avid, vocal supporter of Abandonware - gotta give him respect, this is not an abandoned mod.

Some of the stuff from Apack is incorporated into Song & Silence by Andyr over at G3. I will respect aVENGERS wishes. He said at one point in time that he will still support his mod, but it wont be made compatible with anything. I was 90% done with it when he said I couldnt release it. Besides the improved shadow thieves and shadow druids components are a MF of an encounter.
