well i had another "circle of purple" in my new game last night, where I could not move my character and
thus the game is unplayable.

I SEEMED TO HAVE FIXED THIS!

I came an inch to uninstalling everything and even giving up on mega-installs, except i tried one more trick, which was this: to save this game into another save slot and then load back up *this* save game, and Viola, the save loads and i can play!

this might do it.
