Just finished fixing up the latest batch of dialogue changes from Tempest... everything now installs correctly. Now to spend a couple of hours this evening testing out--that'll give me a good idea of how much testing needs to be done!

Thanks for the update. As a player of (usually) LG/Paladin-ish sort of female PCs, I'm always on the lookout for new "good" romance prospects.

I just wanted to post this in case there was any question that there would be interest in the mod after the hiatus.

Well, a note of forewarning: don't expect an entirely happy, loving romance, even in ToB. Sorry to say it, ladies, but Charname is Darian's first love. Like most people, he doesn't handle that first experience falling in love very well.

Hmmm...I can see not entirely happy ALL the time - but I hope he's not a jerk all the time, either! I hope he is at least a...nice (?) romance?

Anyway, I see he is nearly ready! After years of lurking I've finally joined here and can't wait! I really feared for awhile that Darian would never be "mine!"

Darian will come across as a jerk at first, and Charname certainly can call him out on it. Hence a ToB tidbit: he will be genuinely curious why Charname chose to put so much effort in cracking him open when he was an arrogant, judgmental pain in the rear. Essentially, he's a nice guy once you get to know him.

However, testing is still in progress. No major problems so far, just typos.

My statement that anyone who believes they can voice Darian and is interested in doing so should contact me remains standing. My own voice is not appropriate for Darian.

The next element of work on Darian will either be writing and coding the wraith scene, or more banters.

However, as tentatively planned, there will be a distinct break in the romance about halfway through. Darian's third lovetalk is story-dependent and will occur after Saradush is destroyed. In subsequent lovetalks, or potentially player-initiated dialogue, the player will be able to conclude the romance. There are, tentatively, four different ways to conclude the romance. Some conclusions will be happier than others.

No. I may get in touch with Aeryn about writing crossmod content in the future, but for now I intend only to use a simple kill-script - if you're romancing Darian, Sarevok will not be an option.

Oh, the Darian-Mazzy SoA romance was written and coded, but I ultimately decided it didn't fit Darian's character. I've made a few major revisions to his nature over the prolonged course of his SoA development, and the Darian-Mazzy romance was a last-minute casualty.
