Most people like BGT because you can go straight from BG1 to BG2 without having to export your character from Tutu and import into BGT. It also allows joinable NPCs (like Imoen, Minsc, Jaheira, Edwin, Viconia) from BG1 to be continuous (you pick up your NPCs exactly as you left them in BG1 stats-wise), meaning that if if you dual-classed Imoen to a Mage/Thief very early on, you get to keep all that in Shadows of Amn. Otherwise BGT and Tutu mostly do the same thing.I've been using easy Tutu for a few years now, and it seems to be quite stable. I'm wondering why I would switch to BGT? Are there any advantages over Tutu?
The general advice to give here is that people desiring an authentic BG1 experience on a BG2 engine should use Tutu, while people looking for one continuous game (with or without lots of other mods in between) should use BGT.
Unfortunately, no. There are too many inconsistencies with this, and there really isn't any incentive to go back and own all the puny low-level creatures that are there. Also, if I have the worldmap installed along with BGT, am I able to then go back and forth to any area I want to, from anywhere in the game? For example, if I am in BG2, can I revisit Durlag's Tower?
