Banters Stopped?

I'm playing BG2 and I'm still in Chapter 2, above ground. It seems like I haven't seen a banter in forever! I hit Ctrl-I and there's a ton of banters waiting to be fired off

The romances all seem to be occuring normally. We just had Jahiera's first encounter with Reviane. Edwin turned to Edwina (seems like the last time I saw a banter, in fact) and has since turned back into Edwin. Other than the Aerie flirt bug I mentioned in another thread, I get lots of flirts.

Anyone have any ideas what's wrong? What's the timer variable that fires off the next banter?

Edit: If I use AdvanceRealTime("999999"), a flirt will pop up, or the next romance from Jaheira, but no banter. :(

If someone could help me out, I would really appreciate it! The last banter I saw was when Edwin turned into Edwina. They did seem to "rapid-fire" one after another, though - and I'm wondering if maybe BG2 Tweaks Female Edwina could have caused all of my banters to stop firing after the "Edwina rapid-fire"

Well, I noticed that no banter accelerators were installed with the "standard" BWP Tactics install, so, since it probably wouldn't screw anything up... I installed JCompton's SOA banter accelerator.

I load up my game and CLUA in 999999 to the RealTimer and I heard a familiar snarky voice...

"Minsc. What breed of rat is Boo?"

So, if anyone else has this problem, this is possible solution for you!

As an aside, since the BWP installs extra banter packs, even with the 50 hours of extra content, why doesn't it install an accelerator as well? The banters are one of the best parts of BG! :D

People were complaining that they were running out of banters when they installed the accelerator, so it was made optional for future versions after that.

If by any chance, I wanna use the banter accelerator, would installing JC's script along with BG1NPCs (at the start) accelerate the banters of the NPCs installed after the script??

And I found the BanterPackv10 has 2 different accelerators for SoA and ToB. Does the one in BG1NPCs work for both??

The SoA BanterPack and BG1NPCs are the same accelerators so only install one. If you want faster banters in ToB you need to install ToB BanterPack accelerator.

AFAIK, the BG1NPC Banter Accelerator isn't installed by default with a Tactics install. Therefore, I should be okay.

To the 'engine', Yes. The problem is that if you have installed one banter accelerators and try to install another one, WeiDU will uninstall the first one. This can mess up an install!!!! So only install one of the fallowing: BG1NPC accelerator, BanterPack SoA accelerator or IEP's accelerator (which seems the most customizable).

Just SoA, though ToB is included in the next version if you'd like to test it out.

Seeing that it's more customizable than the Banterpack one, of course :cheers: BUT ... also seeing that I probably won't be reaching ToB anytime soon :P (me wants to compleet evry qwest availabul :D) I may not be the right guy to try beta test it :crying:

Does anybody know the exact time difference the BG1NPC and BanterPack accelerators take for successive banters?? I'd like something like 1 firing every 30 mins or sommin :P
