I just downloaded the newly compiled Weidu for Mac and tried again to create some biffs. This time, it compiled them into the data folder correctly, but I'm still getting the assertion errors any time the game tries to access the new content.

Update:
When Weidu creates a biff, it doesn't set the permissions right (could just be setup). I did a chmod on the biffs and gave full permissions - voila!

What permission does it create the biff with?

My knowledge of Unix is extremely limited, so I don't know exactly what this means, but here goes:
If I understand correctly, this means there are NO permissions. If I do a chmod 755 testbiff.bif, it fixes the problem. I'm guessing any permissions are better than none...
