Hello,
3 days ago, a reinstalled BWP with a tactical instalation. I extracted the following to my BG2 - SOA vanilla GOG directory:
BGT_NPCSound_v3
BiG World Fixpack v10.3.2
BiG World Installpack v10.3.2
BiG World Textpack v10.1.1 ENGLISH
BiG_World_Project_Setup v9.10
BiG_World_Trimpack_v9.1.1
My english is not my native language, but I tried to follow the intructions on the read me and guides. I run the file
BiG World Setup.VBS, and made a tactical instalation on a diferent dir ( Independent Instalatio assistent ).
After almost a day installing, a chose to delete the generelized biffind runnig the BiG World Clean-Up.bat file.
Now I saw that a BiG World Fixpack v10.3.3 has been released, so my question is:
How do I update my instalation ? Or should I install all over again ?
How do I know whats has changed, since the read me says nothing, and the forums only mention version 10.3 ? ( not 10.3.2 or 10.3.3 ).

Tx for any atencion, and sorry the bad english

So, I need to re-install all over again ? I remember having a problem installing item revisions, had to install manually. Now, when I go to High Edge, the game crashes when spawning some creature. Is it really worth spending one more day to reinstall it all ?

Like i30817 said, short of deleting your BGII folder and reinstalling again, you can't upgrade the BWP  But the change in latest BWP installer isn't huge and can be perfectly ignorable for most cases...

Why not just debug that crash and get it temporarily fixed yeah?

For starters, please upload/post your WeiDU.log from your BGII folder :D Also upload a zip/rar/7z'ed BiG World Debug.txt :) That should show us what mods failed to install in your BWP :P

Then, please upload your baldur.log, baldur.err and ToBEx.log (if it's there) - maybe they contain a clue why it crashes? ;)

The logs don't seem to mention any specific file but yeah. the crash is because of a missing resource :P

Could you try running the Area components in this? (except the door lock component), you'll need to rename any setup-XXX.exe to setup-lolfixer.exe to install that :) Also, you'll want to use a save where you haven't gone to High Hedge yet (because if you already went there, the area is then stored in your savegame )

PS: I think it's Melicamp the chicken that's causing the crash but that's just intuition

Hi, found out the problem. Its Item Revision. I installed BWP with InstalPack 10.2, and it seems it doesnt work with the IR 2.0 with the hotfixes, so I copied them from the BKP of the old instalation I had, and installed it without the hot fixes.
Theres a file that adresses this problem, I hope I wont have any problems in the future, since my IR is without the hotfixes.
Tx
