Kivan, face model Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, who is the same as Herd's. The bow comes from GIN7GIN8 stock

Being one of the people who requested a Kivan portrait earlier - compared to Herd's portrait - I think this one looks better. It's going into my next install.

Actually, now that I looked at this and Herd's portrait again - I think Herd's is better looking to me. Still, nice effort.

I resized Kivan's head slightly as on looking at it, it was much too big compared to the other portraits.



Also: Yeah, I love Herd's portrait to death too, that's why I chose to reuse the same actor as the face model. :-) this was the result of artist block, not an attempt to one-up an already outstanding custom portrait. :-)

Will be a bit of delay on the newer portraits while I figure out colour changing code, thanks to Miloch's new tutorial.

ATM planned is this:
- change Minsc hair and skin on paperdoll/avatar
- change Jan skin on paperdoll/avatar
- change Nathaniel hair depending on which portrait installed

and as I sadly just discovered via the DLTC editor,
- Vamp version portraits for all those mods that have a vamp version after all, which probably means anyone with a romance, excepting Kivan. D'oh. -__-;

Damn, you're good. Face still strikes me as 'human'; I guess I expect somewhat more angular features in my elves, so it's probably just me.

Yeah, that is just me. I just don't like making elves slant eyed; perhaps this is a personal thing stemming from being asian. Who knows? What I do know is that there is already a fantastic portrait for Tsujatha at the NWN vault, however, I haven't and probably won't bother chasing down permission to include it in the pack. Patterson was a half-joke ( I did want to do a good job ), but for the non Twilight fans, Zoyah's may suit your game better. I will note it in the readme! :-)

AvengingExile asked for permission to "elf up" Kivan and change his hair to black. Here's the result. If enough people want I can include it as a Kivan alternate in the pack.

Well, for the record, I was talking about the whole face, not just the eyes. A bit too full and round for what I would expect from an elf (the above Kivan, otoh, is more like it), but that much is more or less a matter of personal taste; I'm content to leave it to your discretion .

Is it just me, or does the angle of that hair parting suggests a "cone-head" on that guy? Kinda ruins an otherwise fine drawing if'n ye ask me : / .

It's really good !
If I have to say one thing (because it's tradition, there MUST be something negative to say about averything ) I'd say that his hair is too gray (makes it look like an old woman's fabulous hair) and his shirt not green enough (just a tiny bit)

I may have to redo Chloe after all, I haven't downloaded the mod yet but I can't find the super large of Transient's portrait :-( actually can't find Transient's portrait at all, only someone elses' edit of it -__-; Will search around a bit more first.

AvengingExile corrected her portrait a bit after a little advice, so his eyes should blend better. I may include this one anyway, since she gave it a go and it's pretty good, for a first attempt ever at photomanipulation. Though I still prefer my Kivan with the BG1 default of reddish brown hair. ;-)

quick minsc addendum, some dialogues I have seen refer to him as your "tattooed friend" - so 50% lore correct here



side note I will not be redoing the UB minsc portraits, not that much of a masochist XD

I really really like your lore correct Minsc (probably the one without a tattoo better, but this one is fine work)! Is there a lore correct Edwin in your collection somewhere?

No, but it would be easy enough to shave his beard I guess. Dont Thavians also have tattoos everywhere? I'm not sure myself. Forgotten Reakms wiki to the rescue.... also 100% lore correct minsc will remain in the pack, this is just another option :-)
