BGT game (1st I've ever tried) Not sure if the game is considered mega-mod or not. I certainly do not have EVERYTHING possible installed. It's a self installation of a selection of mods that I know I wanted and a couple I wanted to test out.

I'm using the BGT/Tutu version of the ORIGINAL Drizzt Saga the one where he can be found fighting with the Gnolls.

Here are some things that I noticed:
1) I didn't know that he was actually a joinable NPC so I refused him since I wasn't ready to do that quest line. He left and is gone for good. Not worried I can clua him in if necessary
2) some time later in the next area I notice that my inventory is 'full' despite having an empty slot. when I click on that slot I get the message "this is a personal item". a look in DLTCEP tells me that it is f_empty.itm a change-log indicates it was added by Drizzt Saga and not touched by anything else. an examination of all scripts and dialogs related to drizzt show no means of the item transferring.
3) I understand the mod was converted from a BG:ToTSC mod, however BG2 can handle dual wielding and as such this usage of items with no graphics can and should be reworked.
4) Drizzt was carrying no weapons and didn't bother to join into the fray against the Gnolls till after I had killed them. Perhaps he wasn't in my view, but due to scripting all the Gnolls moved towards me after just one of them saw my party. It was an awkward conversation since he wasn't being beset by Gnolls at all.

My only guess with this f_empty.itm is that it was improperly assigned in some way and dropped by Drizzt to the ground where I accidentally picked it up and now can't get rid of it.

I fortunately have a save from prior to talking to him that I can use and skip him all together until I'm ready to ditch all my party members :( and take on Drizzt's gang.

I can post weidu log if really necessary, but I doubt that is as I've already tracked down the issues. I'm posting more for those who are able to update/work on the mods to be aware of these issues. My plate is full at the moment so I cannot look into it further myself.

Hi Sasha Al'Therin.

Sometimes that happens to me. I am not familiar with other tools for these games, but you can use ShadowKeeper to cleanup the "problem empty slot". ShadowKeeper will not work with Auto-Save or Quick-Save so will need to make a saved game with another name.

yes I know about Shadow Keeper. 'Fixing' my game isn't the point of the post. Sharing information about what is happening so that someone may be able to fix the mod is the intent.

I believe the intent of that item was to simulate having Twinkle and Icingdeath (Drizzt's scimitars) and keep the BG1 avatar without the game crashing. When I tried to do that as a test, it did crash.(a weapon in the shield slot is not compatible with the animation) The mod was done as a BG1 mod originally.

When you kick him out, the items are transferred to your inventory and are unremoveable. Just use shadowkeeper to delete them.

There is a mod called the One Drizzt which is supposed to keep him the same if you also have ROT installed (so you don't have different creature files, and its a more contiguous character with levels and xp). It probably fixes the invisible weapons too.
