Converting sound

First off, I did a search and it came up with 1486 entries and that is just way to much to wade through, hoping to find one thing, so...

I am looking for a tool that will convert sounds from bg/tosc to a playable wav format. I vaguely remember acm2wav from a long time ago, but I am wondering if there is something better available. Please direct me to the proper thread.

Time checks in IWD 1

I am playing a non modded version of iwd with how and trials. One thing that really bothers me is that when I click on hide in shadows for my thief, it may take a while before he actually hides. What file controls the time interval between checks? I want to lower that time, so it works better.
