Problems installing Big World (GoG versions of BG and BG2)

12 May 2011 - 05:56 PM

I've tried to install the Big World mod almost a dozen times. I've installed fresh copies of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 each time. I'm using the recommended and then standard settings. I was initially trying to install them to my D: drive but have also tried to C: with the exact paths that are used in most of the guides (C:/BI/Baldur's Gate and C:/BI/BGII - SoA). I also tried it with both the current stable Big_World_Setup.exe and the beta bws_9-20110501.exe. Everything progresses fine up until the same point. This is just a guess, but I think it may have something to do with Setup-GUI.exe, which appears to launch but with no arguments. No Setup-GUI.DEBUG file is created either.

I'm attaching a screenshot of the "DOS" screen, the BiG World Debug file and Weidu.log. With regard to the screenshot, the install hangs for hours during the portion that has the multiple "find: /c..." entries. You will notice that it appears to be using incorrect syntax for the paths listed after the "find:". After that it seems to launch Setup_GUI.exe which simply keeps displaying the syntax of the command.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And let me know if any additional information is needed.
