Got the same problem, and nobody is asking me for anything. No continue to click, just that freeze with copying file... help :/
Type in the directory for Baldur's Gate, for example, C:/Black Isle/Baldur's Gate and press enter, it'll work. I was sitting at this for ages thinking "What the Hell is wrong with this?" and LO AND BEHOLD!

Is there any possibility that Finch's glasses not working is related to the Baldur's Gate Trilogy mod? I recall she is a BG1 NPC (And one of the most splendidly-designed NPCs I've seen) and BGT ports it to the BG2 engine. I've noticed the not-talking bug as well meaning I need to CTRL+Q her into the party when I want her back. It's rare I kick her out though, she's just too awesome.

Okay back after some buggering about.
I've noticed that when I extract the problem mods manually with their installer/extractor hybrid, they go to c:\program files\Black Isle\BGII - SOA. Of course, Big World Project recommends not putting it into program files due to OS-related problems. This is probably a longshot, but this project would have to be coded to force the install directory to go to where BG2 is actually installed. A large amount of them do this, so once I extract them manually I'll run the install and cross my fingers.
This is just me speculating though since I don't know if BWP already does that, but it has problems finding the right files at times.
Also, during the install, there is no mention of it extending scripts, could that be causing problems?
