A BP-Weidu Primer?

14 August 2006 - 06:01 PM

Hey all,

I've only recently discovered Big Picture and I'm trying to piece together the steps necessary in order to install BP-Weidu with the following components:

1. SoS
2. TDD
3. TS
4. FR/RoV

I have installed BG2 and ToB and applied the latest official patch (26498). I have downloaded 'Baldurdash-WeiDU v1.5.rar', 'BPv177.rar', 'FR_ROV_WeiDUv3.rar','SoSv1.11.rar','TDDv1.11.rar',and 'TS-BPv6.07.rar'.

I originally thought that the process would be to extract the .rar files to my 'BGII - SoA' directory and run the setup files for each of the components listed above, but when I tried to do that with the Baldurdash mod I got an error stating something to the effect of 'ERROR: BIFF [./data/CBSOS_2DA.bif] cannot be loaded: Unix.Unix_error(20, "stat", "./data/CBSOS_2DA.bif")'. That got me thinking: is there some sort of base Weidu application that I need to install? I've been searching around for threads that discuss installation orders, but they seem to involve mods that go above and beyond the 'base' mods I'm looking to install.

If anyone could a) shed some light on the error listed above or B) point me in the direction of a thread that deals with a 'Vanilla' BP-Weidu install I would be much obliged!

Thanks in advance

TDD Spell List

11 August 2006 - 05:37 PM

Hey all....
Long time player of BG II/ToB, but amazingly I just discovered SoS/TDD/TS. Of course, this got me thinking 'man I wish I could use all these together!'. One Google search later, I find out about BP. Giggity giggity giggity. Happy days. Now I know I'm a little behind the times, but I went with BP v161G and patch s_and_h v7. So far it seems ok. I know BP is up to like 177 but I'm not sure I'm ready to go through the pain upgrading much more just yet.

Anyway, here's my dilemma. There's a ton of new spells that come from (I think) TDD. I can look at the cleric and druid spells on their spell list and right click for a description, but what about the arcane spells? I've been looking for a list of the new arcane spells provided by TDD but no luck so far.......

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any replies!
