Ah, thank you for your responses. I've learned a sort of general overview of software features, etc., and now I'm trying to learn it more in-depth, i.e. modding, etc.
Both of your responses were very helpful, and, as I said before, I'm trying to stop being such a noob.
EDIT: And to clear a few things for you, Azazello, yes, I'm using the most recent versions of both BGT and BP. The question about whther I have BP installed was an offshoot of sorts of my original question about if it would install without the AI. I wasn't sure if the game naturally displayed the addons on the intro screenplay- if I just installed the game and and all the packs if it would read "play bg2 with the new expansions: Tortured Souls, Shadows over Soubar, Check the Bodies, and The Darkest Day," or if that was a feature of BP. By "expansion list" I mean the aforementioned "play bg2 with the new expansions: Tortured Souls, Shadows over Soubar, Check the Bodies, and The Darkest Day" message on the intro screen. Again, I am a noob, so I'm trying to figure out how much info to put in a post, and how to phrase it- I obviously didn't do too well on the original post. Hopefully, this will clear up the questions you had; however, if it doesn't more creative criticism is welcome. Also, I just now realized that this site had an IE Modding tutorials page, which I will certainly read.
Again, you have been very helpful, and I thank you.
2nd edit: Is CoM encounters more trouble than it's worth? I'm thinking that it is, judging from erebusant's declaration that "Com Encounters does a lot of overwriting, however so it will also break parts of your game unless you modify the tp2 to patch files instead of overwriting them."
