well, right after getting out of building, I set a couple of traps (hate metagaming, but still). Second - my stoneskinned sorcerer went ahead and as soon as he received 1st strike he hit asasssin with Aganazzar's scorcher from wand and started walking around, hitting all of them with it. Repeated until they all were dead. The rest of the party used true sight and killed 1 or 2 who was close to them.

I find it annoying, too=). Right after installation, add these strings at the end of baldur.ini and you will be able to skip movie:
[MOVIES]
INTRO15F=1
BGINTRO=1
INTRO=1
I don't remember exactly which line matches the first intro, most likely "BGINTRO=1"

that's called cheating, not powergaming=). I believe you can have only 1 kit at once. And afaik sorcerer cannot be multi- or dualclassed. XP cap is easily raised by editing XPcap.2da (override folder). Just set all values to -1

I still want the choice I thought I was going to be given when I was about midway through SOA--the choice to ally with Irenicus.  He gives such a lovely reason, one that would tempt even a good NPC to (eventually) fall: "Think of all the innocents that will be hurt if you *don't* embrace your power." (I am paraphrasing).

I think it would be possible--Jon wants the power to gain godhood; he doesn't really care whether or not he kills the PC.  

So--the PC could ally with him to destroy the tree & gain godhood for one or both of them.

If he really wants a Bhaalspawn soul--there are *plenty* of those around.  Depending on the PC, there's the possibility of dragging someone else in, or of ditching Bhodi & Imoen & having him keep Immy's soul for himself. By the time the PC has reached Spellhold, s/he is really a better ally than Bhodi & he doesn't strike me as the sort who would stick by his sister if offered a better chance.

I prefer playing a goody-two-shoes player myself, but it'd be nice to *choose* whether or not I wanted to save that Elven city, or Imoen, or anyone else.

it is a serious alteration, and I don't like it very much. I think Jon needs powerful soul, that's why he chooses main char

I didn'y notice such thing. Are you sure about every shot? Bow usually shoots more often, than, say, 2h sword. Also, AC does not decrease further than -25 (just in case you forgot it). As far as I remember, in the of BG1 my main tank with boots of avidance and a large shield almost never got hit by range weapons.

Of course, an alternative (but more time consuming) method would be to write new descriptions for each of the duplicate items. Perhaps start the descriptions with things like "this particular pair of boots of speed..."

I just did as I liked, no more, no less. Writing new descriptions seems to me as if you suggest to bg2fixpackers change descriptions to match items rather than change items to match their descriptions. It is possible, but I personally do not like it.

well, I might be the one who is willing to code=). I know almost nothing, but I'm sure it's not too complicated. I can't write banters (my english is truly terrible, I believe), and all I can do is code. However, I promise nothing right now. Also, a few ideas about apprentices and their relationship are already in my head (a couple of miniquests, maybe). So, who is really want to make a try with me?)

I like the idea, i think it would be cool also if apprentices would make some items when they levelups
