#505535 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim News

Posted by Slug on 19 January 2011 - 11:05 AM in Elder Scrolls Series

I think its going to be a good game, I spent many years playing Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion and enjoyed all of them. The construction set in Oblivion was fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing what the new game can do. I hope the developers at Bethesda look at some of the commands which were created in the popular OBSE plugin. A good variety of scripting commands allow modders to do some truly amazing things.

#483380 Easy kill?

Posted by Slug on 31 March 2010 - 09:16 AM in Dragon Age Series

Yes I found the Supreme Demon extremely easy to kill. I had collected and made as many throwing potions as I could and toward the end my inventory was crammed with potions and bombs. Morrigans mother was much harder! :woot:

I barely used any of my reinforcements, toward the end I had about 50% of them still left to use. I think if someone were to make a mod to increase the difficulty this would be a pivotal point in the game to improve.

I was also annoyed you couldn't recruit Jowan.

#483376 Finished Awakening

Posted by Slug on 31 March 2010 - 09:12 AM in Dragon Age Series

I got Dragon Ages Awakening yesterday, so far I have not been able to play it due to a problem with my sound.  If all goes well I'll get a chance to play it tonight.

I had to skip all the spoilers in the previous posts because I don't want to spoil the story.  I agree with what some of the previous posters said and through that there was not sufficient dialogue in Dragon Age Origins.

#483375 DA: Origins & Awakening News

I didn't really rate the shapeshifter, the flying swarm was annoying because I never had any mana left thanks to the lack of mana potions in the game.

The bear could be somewhat handy with the special abilities.  I'm looking forward to playing Ascension.

#476370 DA: Who is your favorite companion?

Posted by Slug on 22 January 2010 - 01:19 AM in Dragon Age Series

I liked Wynne because she was a Spirit Healer and could heal everyone in battle and remove their injuries.  She was a bit boring to talk to but an excellent addition in combat.

My friend liked the Dog the most.

#476369 Dragon Age Mods

Posted by Slug on 22 January 2010 - 01:17 AM in Dragon Age Series

I loved the Baldurs Gate and Elder Scrolls Oblivion games and last year I started to play the Dragon Age Origins game.

I had heard that it was supposed to resemble Baldurs Gate 3 and have eagerly awaited its release since August.

Already some spectacular mods have been released, my favourite would be Advanced Tactics which reminds me of the AI scripting system used in Baldurs Gate.

The vanilla game has various conditions and actions which you can assign to your party so they automatically do stuff.

E.G - Health less than 50% => Take a Health potion

Advanced Tactics builds upon the existing game by adding many new conditions which very much reminded of the advanced scripts which were available Baldurs Gate 2.

If any of you haven't played Dragon Age then I would seriously recommend it.

We've got a few mods on our site and I've been thinking of making some more myself.
