It's about to release, as I understand in about 10 hours form now. On a surface level it sort of looks like Baldur's Gate so I was thinking there would be more mention of it here.

 

Anyway, for those who actually plan to play this, why don't you share your builds?

 

For my first run I'm gonna play a Paladin 2/Sorcer 6/Eldritch Knight with a Falchion, especially getting Outflank. Also getting a monster Tactician custom NPC, that can summon creatures that share some of his Teamwork feats (such as Outflank) for a barrage of attacks of opportunity.

 

Who else is getting this?

Hi guys, it's me again. Started a new game, since the last one was pretty broke. I think this installation went much better.

 

I haven't actually experimented enough yet, but it seems that lichs give me CTD. So far I've experienced this with the City Gate Lich, the Temple Quest Undead City Lich (that spawns if you have a higher level) and the Spellhold Gauntlet lich but not with the Elemental or Shadow Lich.

I assume it has something to do with either SCSII and their Chain Contingengy or Spell Trigger load or it's some missing animation. TobEx doesn't give me any specific error report (and quite frankly, even with it I'd be at a loss on how to deal with that).

I had also encountered a CTD with the mage (or was it the priest?) in the North Forest, where TobEx would give me this line.

My workaround so far has been to use CTRL + Y which is not a very satisfactory solution.

#603679 Keep Stronghold bug

Hi, again. It's that time of the year again, where I reinstall the game and play through the latest of megamods.

 

Anyway, this time I ran into a problem with what I assume is an issue with some interaction between the Nalia Romance, NPC Strongholds and Expanded Thief Stronghold. Fighter PC, picked up Nalia early, did Thief quest early on, while Renal Bloodscalp awarded the guild house to Nalia none of the actual members in it seem to recognize that, it seems that it was awarded to PC instead. No biggy, kept playing. First quest starts, Ama's betrayal. It's where I first run into some bugs because the ambush never happens. They just stand there and nothing happens. Just kill the two and move on.

Now that I liberated the keep when she's supposed to award it to me she instead goes NO VALID REPLIES. I think it happened because the guild house was awarded to me and some conflict happened.

 

Is there some global stats I could change to fix things or what else can I do?

Hi, first time playing around with NPC strongholds, which I love. Except I don't really want to invest so much time into them so I was wonder if anyone know maybe any Global Variables that are the timers for the next quest or issue to fire so I can get to saving Imoen within 2 or 3 weeks of game time (while still having gone through most of the quests), particularly the bards playhouse quest. Don't really want to have Haerdalis in my group.

I opened up a similar thread in the g3 forum/NPCstrongholds but it looks pretty inactive over there, so I figured I might have better luck here.

Those were the settings from the beginning, I never changed them. Probably should have prior to the the BWS. Other than some dual classing acting weird it seems to be working fine so far.

Hi folks.

 

Usually TobEx is down immediately, but sometimes this error appears.

Assertion Failed! [...] ChVidimage.cpp line 1910 [...] dwFlags & CVDIMG_TRANSLUCENT && CVIDCELL_BRIGHTEST

 

Now I'm assuming some file didn't copy properly and I have to export it and put it into override somehow. But I have no idea which file or how to export it. Any help would be highly welcome.

Assuming that Undead Targos was the issue, I made a new install, leaving Undead Targos out. So once again I made it through all the fetch quests and lo and behold, after defeating the second group, Caballus doesn't show up, again. So now I can only assume that the issue lies with tactics4WID2. Pity.

Yeah, I mean the multikit itself runs fine. Giving them 8 Million XP just doesn't net any HLAs. And when you go the other option, selecting custom table, this code thing happens. Which also doesn't give any HLA to the multiclassed multikit characters.

I suppose one of those 7000 files is the HLA file. But even if I could identify which one I'd still have no idea how to go about editing the HLA. Or making any of them appear. I guess I'll just forego the whole multikit thing till it's in a more advanced state. I really like the concept though.

 

I'm not the only one for whom this doesn't work though, right? Maybe there were some errors in the installation.

Alright, tried this out, seems to be working great for the most part (this is the mod I was most excited to play). I cluacreated Solaufein, for whom I had prepared a Kensai Abjurer Mulitkit, and leveled him up well into his 20s (on both classes) to see if everything worked, but he wouldn't get HLA. During the multikit creation there are two options, one is to apply regular multiclass fighter/mage option, the other is to prepare a specific one.

 

Did it once, told me it created some file, no idea what to do with it though (or even where to find it). Is there some sort of guide for this?

 

edit:

Though there exists the possibility that it did not work because I created the new mulikits after the main installation was done.

Hi guys, it's been a while. Since I'm stuck with a bug with IWD2, I figured I'd reinstall BG2 instead. And to my joy I realized there are some exciting new mods about (like multikit, does it work with dual class too? I always envisioned Imoen as a Rogue/Wild Mage).

 

Sadly, support for BWS for classic Baldur's Gate has been discontinued which is where I suppose this bug (?) comes from.

It asks me to download this file (generalized biffing master), though the file is already in the dir. Then it tells me it can't continue and aborts the installation.

 

Any help would be highly welcome.

Hi guys, long time no see, first time on this part of the forum too.

 

Anyway, my game is stuck at the battle to defend Targos. I'm running a couple of mods, including the undead haunting Targos who can take way too much punishment. But that aside, I think I killed everyone from the second wave (I'm even using ctrl + j to jump around and find stragglers but there's nothing), but the next sequence just won't start so I'm stuck now.

 

So I was wondering if maybe someone knew what sort of global variable I could alter or what else I could do to continue on the game.

 

Would be much appreciated.
