#517092 Bhaal at the end of TOB

Posted by Vherdel on 22 June 2011 - 02:23 PM in IE Mod Ideas

Hey guys, I know I´m relatively new to this place and all, but I got a little suggestion for Bhaal´s powers ingame and his avatar.

Lorewise we know his avatar forms, the slayer, Kazgoroth and the ravager.

But since in this scenario his has not attained his full potential yet, why not give him a thief avatar, but with strange shiny colors? ( like Cyric has when he appears ).

The story of the history of the dead three explain that Bhaal was an assassin, so this avatar would suit nicely ( perhaps the same pale skin as Cyric has, but every piece of equipment the blackest of black ).

Also, as for the whole bone dagger thing, we could make him insta/hasted, dual wielding some custom bone daggers ( looking like the longtooth dagger or something, I'd imagine ) with perhaps a few % of vorpal chances on it ( with saves ).
Also give him the ability to insta cast invisibility, wail of the banshee and death spell ( he is the god of death after all ) a few times per round, andof course, since he was an assassin, give him a backstab multiplier of x8 or something.

And maybe spawn in a few bone blades as in the ravager battle or something.

And perhaps some more crippling/draining abilities.

This is just a start, but those are a few things I'd see fitting for lord Bhaal.

#503314 Evil titbit (SPOILER)

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 07:19 AM in Return to Windspear

Sick?

Its decent enough I'd say, and serves that goody-two shoes bastard right.

I would love crushing his head beneath my bootheel.

As Bhaal liked cruel deaths especially, this would show of your taint nicely.

Although of course, killing or torturing his daughter before his eyes would be very very nice as well.

Well written, a true Paladins death; Crushed beneath the bootheel like a fly.

Although My assassin would probably compare this to stepping in fairy dung.

EDIT: Oh..its dead, dam nI'm always too late.

#503313 Who's your favourite drow?

Oh sorry :P
I just seem to have a passion for animating corpses, sorry :P

#503309 Who's your favourite drow?

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 06:28 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

Phaere, because you can do her and then betray her, in true honorable fashion.

Drizzt en Solaufein usually lay dead by my hands.

#503308 In my opinion, solo runs are easier than party runs...

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 06:08 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

It really depends on the situation.

Sometimes a party is more convenient, but people like me, like to play solo because well...my character is a neutral evil assassi nwho does'nt want anyone to be in his way.
That and Managing a party can be annoying at times.

#503307 BG character themes

Anomen - Die MF die from dope ( because he just needs to ).

Xan - I must be emo

Jon Irenicus - back with a vengeance from Devildriver

Imoen - Sandwich from Psychostick

Korgan - Beer = good from Psychostick

Edwin - Callisto rising

#503305 Your PC! Please share.

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 05:23 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

Well here are a few of mine:

Vherdel Viperblade
Male
Human Assassin
Neutral evil

Stats:------------ended with:

Str 18-------------str 21
dex 18-------------dex 20
con 18-------------con 20
int 15-------------int 17
wis 12-------------wis 15
cha 12-------------cha 14

( Yeah I got lucky )

Vherdel is a cold blooded killer, and is for hire for anyone who posses enough money.
A true succesor to his father, he is an assassin, and revels in death and slaughter.
He is very egocentric, and cares only for himself and power.
Any party members who might join him will find a blade in their back should they not agree with his decissions, or when the chance for profit arises.
He does not fear his taint, but controls it to deal death at his targets.
Obviously, becoming the new lord of murder is his goal, and none shall keep him from this goal.
He is cunning, calculating, cruel and strikes when the time is right.
Never helps anyone but himself unless he gets paid enough ( and even then double-crosses them ).

Slythe Krystin
Male
Human Necromancer
Lawfull evil.

Stats:-------------Ended with:

str 13-------------Str 15
dex 18-------------dex 20
con 16-------------con 18
int 18-------------int 20
wis 18-------------wis 21
cha 14-------------cha 16

Slythe is a charismatic person, who often talks pleasantly with others, only to decieve them in the end.
He prefers to avoid open fights, but when he does fight he will unleash his death magics to instantly kill his foes without too much effort.
His only goal is to gain more knowledge about the arcane, and likes bending foul spirits to his will, and take the souls of the innocents to boost his powers.
He wants to become a lich, but when he found out he was a child of bhaal, obviously becoming a god would be preferable to that, since he'll have an eternity to study and gain more knowledge and power.
He often acts friendly only to gain information and knowledge he needs.

#503304 Protagonist Class [ Lorewise. ]

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 05:01 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

Neutral evil male human assassin.

with stats like...

16 strenght
18 dexterity
15 constitution
15 intelligence
13 wisdom
12 charisma

or higher stats if you can roll that good :P

Why? Well, since you're going to become the new lord of murder, an assassin would be perfect, and sinse everything done in bg1 and 2 is either out of lust for power, money or revenge ( not for gorion of course, who cares about him ).
Evil characters are jsut farmore awesome than good, and well, thief classes suit fine, since you're starting in candlekeep, and who did'nt try to loot everything i nwinthrops in at the floor above?
I certainly did.
And since the taint is getting to you, so is the lust for murder, so assassin fits well.

Or in female case:

Chaotic evil female elf sorceress.

I don't try playing the game in the ''good way'' though.

#503302 The best BG NPC poll!

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 04:47 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

Well the worst for me is Anomen, but thats not the deal here now is it?

The best to me are Edwin, since he's awesome, along with Korgan and of course, the mighty Tiax.
I like Imoen in bg2 for her cool comments ( and she's hot ), and Minsc is just plain funny, even though he's good ( and i tend to dislike good characters, especially paladins ).
I also dislike Jaheira's annoying bossy comments.
Well, I stab most NPC's who disagree with me in the back anyway >=D

Tiax would be my favorite out of all, he's damn funny and does'nt mind when I just kill stuff without a reason.

#503300 Demogorgon XP Rewards

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 04:39 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

I usually attack demogorgon on sight, and after I freed him ( wich owns ) I go and kill the helmites because the fools thought they could use me.
I always takes the path that has me kill as many as possible.

#503298 Deities

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 04:18 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

Well I had a priest of talos once, but usually my assassin worships himself, as he wil lbecome the true lord of murder anyway.
Other characters mostly worship the dead three gods ( Bhaal, Myrkul, Bane ), and others sometimes worship Mask, Olidammara or Cyric.

And of course Ardenor Crush, the overfather.

#503297 Baldurs gate is just the best RPG ever.

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 04:11 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

Well, yeah it is.
Although I must say I like Icewind dale a lot as well, but current ''new games'', even dragon age, just pale in comparison.
No other games so far have such a classic story and amazing abilites, stategics and just plain awesome weapons ( Silent death and the short sword of backstabbing +5 from aVENGER's Rogue rebalancing mod are my fav's).

#503295 Tazok Immortal.

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 04:03 AM in Baldur's Gate Series

In the original BG1 you could kill him ( and he'd still show up in the final fight ).
I found this this to be impossible in Easytutu, but I guess thats logical enough.

#503285 What's your party?

Posted by Vherdel on 17 December 2010 - 12:50 AM in Icewind Dale Series

Well, Although I usually try to solo everything, here are my parties ( solo's included ).

Death's chill team:

- Vherdel Viperblade, leader, NE male human thief, cold blooded killer who only wants money, dual wields short swords.
- Sorkarik Swordedge, CE male half orc fighter, a bit dumb, but a killing machine wielding axes and longswords.
- Rhynn Atmos, CE female half elf cleric, for the boosts and partial healing.
- Saline, CE female half elf mage, mostly casts illusions/haste on Vherdel for massive backstabbing fun, and deals quite some damage as well.

Basically this party screws everyone over, murders, rapes, steals and all that kind of things, you know, the good stuff.

Frost:

Fellgas the Damned - solo, CE male Human fighter, mostly geared with ice element armor/weapons, wields a 2 hander.

Rotting fever:

Slythe Krystin - solo, LE male human Necromancer, likes casting insta-death spells, skull traps and abi- dalzims horrid wilting a lot. He's also a very charming, but decieving, fellow when you don't piss him off.

Silent death:

Vherdel Viperblade - Solo, same as in death's chill, sometimes dual classed with fighter.

Looks like I'm the only one who plays evil here hahahaah :P
So far out of all my playthroughs ( quite some ) only one has been with a good character :P
Also a solo.

Forgot the name, but it was a chaotic good female elf ranger using bows and stuff.

#503237 Kresselack Information

Posted by Vherdel on 16 December 2010 - 07:04 AM in Icewind Dale Series

Well, his avatar was that of a demon knight.
And he used to be a barbarian, but he also had an empire curiously enough.
That and he followed Myrkul, or at least made a pact with him, since his tomb is infested with his undead servants, who, became undead voluntarily ( or were forced to volunteer ).
Now it might be just me, but I find it odd for a barbarian to raise an empire.

#503235 Iyachtu Xvim

Posted by Vherdel on 16 December 2010 - 07:00 AM in Icewind Dale Series

So if I get all of this straight, Bane is already dead in the IWD settings?
Because this would not appear to be very likely.

There are priests of Myrkul present in both IWd1 and 2, and Myrkul died in the times of troubles as well as Bane did.

Although Bane eventually came back through the cocoon wich was his son.

So to me it would be logical if Xvim was a demigod at that time perhaps, but not a deity.

#500941 Making An NPC: The Poll

Posted by Vherdel on 15 November 2010 - 12:07 AM in IE Mod Ideas

Offering incredible evil options as well as banter and epic battles are my interests.
Although I usually play without NPC's because my Assassin is a loner :P

#500897 Any help on Artemis,etc?

Anyhow, I've got the weapon now, with some IEEP.
Thanks for the help, you can now consider this thread closed ;)

Did you download Unfinished Business, extracted it to your BG2 directory and clicked on its setup-ub.exe?

Yes i have, and those components work fine.
i am however, still looking for a mod wich contains the ''charon's claw'' sword for Artemis, so I can spice the encounter up.
At this moement he is'nt much of a threat.

Although the Artemises in both Unfinished Business and Region of Terror are referring to Drizzt's enemy, they are two different creature files used independently of each other. Region of Terror allows you to side with Jarlaxle and Artemis and make them joinable NPC's with custom gear and dialog files. These don't cross over to the UB version of the same dude although if you have both installed you can use an editor like Near Infinity or DLTCEP to edit the UB creature file (basically mod it on your local installation).

The Darkest Day adds Artemis as well ;) and he is way more powerful and difficult than the UB dude :) but it is independent of the UB one as well so different, location, quests and everything else.

Thanks for the advice, but I am however uninterested in such enormous story mods, especially if they already have influence from the beginning of the game.
I'm just looking for the sword, or perhaps some mini quest, the Darkest day adds a lot of content, as well as the region of terror.
I'm just looking for the Charon's claw sword so i can equip it to Artemis, and then upgrade his script.
Unless of course, region of terror is not introduced in Jonny's dungeon, I'd dislike it if Drizzt really ended up captured with me ( as i clearly killed him in bg1 in every game I played ).

Anyone?

#499862 Bel, lord of the first.

Posted by Vherdel on 27 October 2010 - 09:37 AM in IE Mod Ideas

Does the infinity Animation installment allow for us to use IWD animations in bg2 ( like poquelin and such )?

Yes. Peruse it in all its glory :D.

Thanks, I'll try it out.

You do know that you do not have to install the whole mod? You can just install the components you like.

10th

Really?
I haven't tried yet, so that might be just plain stupid on my part then.
Since it said it made the Artemis encounter optional I assumed the other components were not.
Also, thanks on the Charons claw tip, Miloch.
I'll have to look it up sometime.

#499793 Bel, lord of the first.

Posted by Vherdel on 26 October 2010 - 12:06 PM in IE Mod Ideas

Well, anyway, i thought it'd be cool if the belhifet paper doll could be put in BG2 on some extremely powerfull Baatezu or Tan'narri.

I assume you mean "animation" as you'll only see the paperdoll if it's a joinable NPC (and if there's a paperdoll at all - don't think so for this one).

There are several mods that use the Belhifet animation (Drizzt Saga, RoT, TDD and/or TS) - not sure for what exactly though. Obviously, other mods could too, certainly with Infinity Animations installed (which resolves animation conflicts among other things, so your belhifets don't look like mariliths or whatever).

Hmm, I've never read anything about those, but I might as well check it up.
Does the infinity Animation installment allow for us to use IWD animations in bg2 ( like poquelin and such )?
I'm kind of new to this.

#499763 Bel, lord of the first.

Posted by Vherdel on 26 October 2010 - 08:26 AM in IE Mod Ideas

Well, since we can fight Demogorgon in Watchers keep, I figured it would be kind of cool to fight an archdevil from hell as well, as in this case, Bel, lord of the first.
Obviously quite a lot weaker than Demogorgon of course ( I doubt even Asmodeus could take the Mighty Prince of Demons on and live to tell the tale ).
My suggestion is as following, make Bel a fightable character on the thrid floor of watchers keep.
His appearance could be an imported look from Belhifet ( IWD1 ).
No doubt, he should be very powerfull indeed, as he is after all a lord of the nine hells of Baator.
However, since his appearance will be on the third floor of watchers keep, this means his actual form will be there ( Unlike Demogorgon, whose avatar is trapped ).
This means he also, unlike Demogorgon, has full access to his powers.

Well, anyway, i thought it'd be cool if the belhifet paper doll could be put in BG2 on some extremely powerfull Baatezu or Tan'narri.
